“Good boy.”

Kai carried me deeper into the apartment. In my bedroom, he set me down in the middle of the bed, then switched on the lamp.

“Painkillers?”

“In the cabinet above the sink,” I replied, pointing at the door to my en suite.

He disappeared into the bathroom, returning with a plastic cup of water and two strong painkillers in the palm of his hand. He handed them over, ordering me to take them, and when I’d swallowed them, I showed off my empty mouth just to be childish. He took the cup and left it on the bedside table.

As I shifted on the bed, pulling back the covers to slide underneath, Kai started undressing. I paused halfway, watching as he stripped down to his boxers, the soft lighting emphasising his washboard abs. He caught me eye-fucking him, and I couldn’t even pretend to be ashamed.

The man was a snack, and he knew it.

“Eyes up here, baby.”

I had to rip my eyes off his body like Velcro, and he chuckled darkly.

I lifted the quilt so he could slide in beside me. He shifted me until I was lying on my side, facing away from him, and his chest was against my back, and the heat from his skin made it feel like I was lying in the sun.

But instead of shying away from it, I basked in it, pressing myself as close to him as possible. It meant that the hard line of his cock slotted between my ass cheeks, and I was annoyed I was still wearing my pyjama bottoms.

When I started squirming, Kai thrust his hips forward, and the sensation made me whimper.

“You’re making it fucking hard to be a gentleman, rookie,” he groaned, burying his face against the back of my neck.

“Who said you need to be a gentleman?”

I rolled my hips against him, but before I could take things further, Kai placed a heavy hand on my hip, halting my movements.

“Not tonight, baby,” he insisted, pressing his lips against my nape, leaving behind the softest kiss. “We’re going to sleep, and tomorrow we’re going to talk.”

I stiffened, remembering how we’d left things before I crashed.

The way I’d exploded, blurting out my fears in a waterfall of word vomit. How convinced I was that he’d hate me, despite the way he’d desperately called my name on the radio, begging me to answer him.

Sensing the sudden change in mood, Kai dragged his hand from my hip to my stomach, rubbing in small circles. The action was calming, soothing my anxious heart, and I relaxed back against him.

“At least with an injured leg you can’t run away in the morning,” he quipped, giggling like a schoolboy when I kicked him in the shin. “Close your eyes, Revvy.”

Like he’d pulled my fatigue to the surface, my eyelids felt heavy and I allowed them to close, blanketed by the warmth of his larger body, the smell of cardamom and leather soaking into my sheets.

Just as my consciousness slipped away in favour of sleep, he whispered, “I’m not going anywhere, little comet.”

And throughout the entire night, Kai kept his promise.

Full Throttle, Zero Inhibition

Kai

My skin felt too tight, and the molten heat pooling in my groin set my body on fire.

I peeled open my eyes, only to find the darkness remained, and I realised after a second that my face was buried in Rev’s hair. Colorful hues shone from the strands, splayed out on the pillow in the early morning sun.

Some of it had found its way into my mouth, which was less than pleasant, but not enough to make me complain. I could complain about the lead pipe tucked between my bedmate’s ass cheeks, though.

Stars, forget the hair. I wanted something else in my mouth.

Rev’s dick, in case that wasn’t clear.
