Ryosuke tensed but didn’t reply.
“My wife’s death will not go unpunished. Even if I’ll have to bring that justice myself.”

Björn followed Valeria’s skillful hands as she removed the infusion tube from his arm. “You can take a break from this, for now,” she said, unhooking the plastic bottle from the pole. “You will be given a new dose in the evening.”
“Okay, Angel.” Björn kept his eyes on her and the corner of his lips turned upwards. While she still stood close to him, he took the opportunity and touched her thigh.
“What are you doing, sir?” Valeria gasped. But since she didn’t slap his hand away, or take a step backwards, Björn felt encouraged. He gave her a wide grin and moved his hand upwards.
“Mr. Landberg! Y-you shouldn’t be doing that.” Her face flushed, but she didn’t move.
“And yet you’re still here.” A mischievous glint appeared in Björn’s eyes.
“I– I…” She finally took a step back moving away from his reach.
“You liked it, didn’t you? You fancy me?”
“I do not. You have a girlfriend.” She looked away.
“You don’t seem very bothered by it.”
“I am bothered!” Valeria gave him an annoyed glare.
Björn reached out, trying to touch her again, but she walked away from the bed.
“No,” Valeria said firmly and adjusted her clothes.
“I can break up with her foryou.”
Valeria rolled her eyes, her face stern. “You should indeed do that. But for yourself. And for her.”
Björn clicked his tongue. “Angel, please.”
“My name is Valeria, and my job is finished for today.” She turned to leave. “Goodbye, Mr. Landberg.”
Björn called after her, “No! Don’t go. Stay a little bit longer.” But Valeria didn’t turn back.
At the door, Valeria almost collided with Lennart, who had just entered the room.
“Good day, sir. Excuse me.” She avoided looking at him and walked through the door.
“Good day to you too, Valeria.” Lennart moved to the side to let her pass and raised his eyebrows.
“What did you do to her?” Lennart asked and Björn’s scowl only deepened when he saw his brother come to his bed.
“Nothing.”
“Björn. I know you.”
“You know my ass!”
“Fine. I didn’t come here to argue. The doctor told me you wanted to ask me something, so here I am.”
Björn released a heavy sigh. “Yeah. I have questions.”
Lennart pulled a chair closer and said, “I’m listening.”
