“Wait. I can ask. I’ll check with Anna and I’ll call you back.”

“Oh, thank you.”

Ryosuke dropped the phone next to him and released a heavy sigh.

?

When Ryosuke got the information that he got a room, he was in disbelief. He was convinced that the answer would be negative after all. He headed to his room to pack and wait since Hugo told him someone would come to help him move. He didn’t even know which floor he got the room on, he forgot to ask, and he thought it irrelevant. The most important thing was that he managed to get a new place to stay.

I’ll pay whatever price, once we get out of here. Just to be alone.

Ryosuke was relieved that Ayame wasn’t in the room. He hurriedly packed his belongings in hopes that she would not return while he’s still there. He had about fifteen minutes to fill his bags when he heard a knocking. He went to answer the door and when he opened it, he almost lost his footing.

Lennart stood on the other side of the door and asked, “Have you finished packing?”

“Yeah,” Ryosuke uttered, confused.

“How many bags?” Lennart looked over his shoulder and Ryosuke turned. Two suitcases were standing next to the bed, and one bag sat on top.

“Three?” Ryosuke said and turned back to Lennart.

“I’ve come to help you in case you’re still feeling weak.”

“I think I will manage.”

“I’m already here, so there’s no need. I’ll help you to your new room.”

Ryosuke slightly bowed and Lennart passed him to take both suitcases. Ryosuke grabbed his bag, and they exited.

They entered the elevator and went two floors lower in awkward silence.

There the space looked just the same as on their level, so Ryosuke assumed he would get a normal room after all.

Lennart unlocked the door with the card and Ryosuke was surprised to see a normal room on the other side; the interior was furnished a little bit differently, but it had everything that his previous room had.

Did someone once lived here?Ryosuke wondered just before Lennart spoke up, “This was my room, but you can stay here how much you need. I’ll be behind these doors.” He pointed to the door on the left. “There’s my working place. I moved my things there. You can put yours in the closet.”

Ryosuke watched him with his mouth hanging open and eyes wide. “You shouldn’t have. I mean, I was just asking if there happened to be a spare room. I can go back to my room…”

“It’s not a problem. Really. Feel like you’re in your own room.”

“No, I… I can’t take this.”

“I said it’s okay. And I mean it. I’m leaving you to unpack.”

Ryosuke wanted to say something, anything, but he just opened his lips and closed them back. Lennart closed the door and left him alone. Ryosuke stood there for a few moments, not knowing what to do.

This was his room… This is his private room… Oh my god!His inner self panicked.

His heart was pounding wildly behind his ribs but Ryosuke decided it was time to unpack. He didn’t want Lennart to find him still standing in the same place if he happened to come back to check on him.

?

“Were you able to get some info today?” Lennart asked and slumped in the chair.

He needed some distraction after letting Ryosuke in his room, so he decided to look for his friends.

“No. We didn’t learn much.” Edvin shook his head and turned to Liam.
