He smiles, brushing my hair back and tucking it behind my ear.“I want you to stop worrying,” he repeats, his voice soft but firm.“I love you so much, and no one is going to stop that. Not Lexi, not your parents, not my parents.Nobody.”
His hand settles on my hip, his thumb tracing soothing circles on my skin.“If the world finds out, let them.I don’t give a fuck. All I care about is you, Cam.That’s what matters.”
The sincerity in his voice calms the storm in my chest.I nod, a small smile tugging at my lips.Leaning forward, I kiss him softly.“I fucking love you, Fox.”
“You’re sexy when you swear,” he says with a smirk.“Say another one.”
I chuckle, rolling my eyes at him.But then, an idea sparks in my mind.My hand trails down to the waistband of his sweats, and I cup him gently. He stiffens slightly in surprise.
“I fucking love your cock,” I say with a wicked grin.
Fox stares at me, wide-eyed, before exhaling slowly.“Fuck.You drive me crazy.”
I laugh, letting go of him and resting my hand back on his chest.“You drive me crazy too, and I love you so much.”
Fox wraps his arms around me, reaching over to turn off the bedside lamp. The room plunges into darkness, but I can still feel his warmth and his steady breathing beside me.I scoot closer, closing my eyes as exhaustion finally begins to take over.
As much as I dread tomorrow, I find comfort in knowing that Fox is by my side.Whatever Lexi throws our way, we’ll face it together.

A Heavy Heart
“Hey,man,”Landon’svoicesnaps me out of my thoughts.I look up from my untouched book to find him already seated across from me.
I can’t focus, not with Lexi’s threats echoing in my mind like a broken record.I sigh, closing the book as I lean back against the booth.
“You okay?”Landon asks, casually stealing my nearly melted milkshake and taking a long sip from the straw.
I glare at him.“You’re buying me another one.”
He chuckles.“Sure, sweetheart. As long as you tell me what’s bothering you.”
I sigh, glancing out the translucent café window, hoping to catch even a glimpse of Lexi.If I could just talk to her, maybe I could convince her that what she’s planning is pointless—childish, even.
“What’s up with Blaze?”I ask, changing the subject.
“You’re deflecting,” Landon says, narrowing his eyes.
I smile faintly and roll my eyes.“I’m not.”
He watches me closely before finally nodding.“He’s good.”
“Yeah?”I press, hoping to keep the conversation away from my own issues.
Landon leans forward, his tone turning serious.“Cam, what are you getting at?”
I sigh, giving up the charade.“It’s Lexi.”
“What about Lexi?”Landon’s curiosity sharpens just as Leanne slides into the booth beside him, a steaming cup of coffee in hand.
“Hey, guys,” she says, her tone casual.“Dropped by to grab a coffee.”
“Hi, Leanne,” Landon greets, flashing her a grin.“You know, we could totally pass for twins if you weren’t British and a redhead.Landon and Leanne—sounds like a sitcom.”
“In your dreams,” Leanne quips, taking a sip of her coffee before turning her attention to me.“You okay, Cam?You were talking about Lexi?”
I nod slowly, leaning forward so our conversation stays private.“She knows.”
