“How come your roommate’s such a dork?”Lexi asks loudly.Joan snorts, and a few of the guys chuckle.

“Got a girlfriend, Cameron?”Leon asks.Cameron blushes, biting his lip, and looks away.

“Why?”I interject, smirking.“You want to set him up with your sister?”

The guys laugh, and I see Cameron exhale in relief.Leon glares back at me.“Screw you, Fox.”

“God, I’m bored.Let’s play a game,” Marissa says, breaking the lull. She’s been scrolling on her phone while sitting on the floor in between her boyfriend, Jude’s, thighs for most of the night.

“How about spin the bottle?”Cynthia suggests, and everyone chimes in with agreement.

The music is pounding, and a couple of people are already a little too drunk, dancing wildly or making out with anyone in reach. This game can only end in chaos.

Cynthia grabs a beer bottle from the floor, smirking at us as she sets it in the middle of the table.“Or we could play ‘Never Have I Ever’?”Joan suggests.

There’s some murmuring, and I roll my eyes, knowing both games will just stir up trouble. The last time they played, Marissa and Joan ended up in a screaming match, and Leon and Bernard didn’t talk for a week.

“Why not take a vote?”Leon says, glancing around at everyone.

“How about neither?”I mutter.A few playful glares are tossed my way, and I chuckle. My eyes meet Cameron’s briefly before he looks away.

“Cameron, what would you rather play?”Cynthia turns to him, smirking.

“Um… ‘Never Have I Ever’?”He shrugs, unsure.

Blaze chimes in, “Let’s just play both.”

“Great!Starting with ‘Never Have I Ever,’” Marissa declares as Cynthia pours vodka shots into glasses on the table.

“This’ll be fun,” Lexi giggles beside me, her excitement clear.

Cynthia takes the lead.“Never have I ever slept with my friend’s boyfriend.”She smirks, and I barely pay attention; my gaze drifts back to Cameron, who looks completely uninterested.

Joan groans, reaching for a glass and downing the shot, and Lexi, rolling her eyes, follows suit.

Blaze raises his brows.“Alright, Joan, whose boyfriend?”

She just shrugs nonchalantly, but I feel Lexi’s fingers digging into my arm.I’m not surprised—cheating isn’t exactly out of character for Lexi as long as you’re rich.I am not faithful to her either and she knows it.But for some reason she likes to act surprised and jealous whenever she catches me with another girl, throwing shades and fighting the girl.

“Let’s keep going,” Cynthia nudges, probably sensing that this round is headed for drama.

Marissa smirks, “Never have I ever cheated on my partner.”

This is getting way too real.

“Okay, that’s enough of this game,” I say, hoping to save everyone from another night of ruined friendships.A few of the guys throw me grateful glances.I don’t need a string of jealous questions from Lexi tonight, and neither do the others.

“Fine, how about ‘Truth or Dare’ or ‘Spin the Bottle’?”Cynthia shrugs, eager to keep the party going.

“Truth or Dare!”Lexi announces, leaning in with a mischievous smile.“I’ll start.Cameron, ever done drugs?”

I glare at her.“You can’t ask him that.”

“It’s fine,” Cameron says softly.“No, I’ve never done drugs.”

“Boring,” Lexi sing-songs, rolling her eyes.

Leon takes the next turn.“Cynthia, I dare you to take off your top.”
