Then—Adam appeared from around the corner.
Sebastian immediately stepped back, his touch falling away, leaving Emily breathless and trembling. Her hand flew to her lips, wiping them quickly, hoping to erase any trace of what had just happened.
Adam’s gaze flicked between them as he drew closer, his eyes narrowing on Sebastian, noting the little space between him and Emily.
He reached out, gripping Sebastian’s shoulder with a firm, almost punishing squeeze. “What are you doing? Stay away from my sister,” he snapped.
Sebastian met his glare without flinching, but Adam stepped forward, physically placing himself between them. He slid his arm around Emily’s shoulders, pulling her protectively to his side.
“Let’s go,” Adam said, his voice softening only for her. “I’ll pay the bill, then take you home.”
Emily nodded, letting him guide her away, though she could feel the heat of Sebastian’s gaze burning into her back.
She risked a glance over her shoulder. Behind her, Sebastian followed, smiling with that maddening, dangerous curve of his lips that promised trouble.
Chapter 13 Stolen Girlfriend
The three of them stepped out of the restaurant into the night air. Adam walked ahead toward the valet, giving instructions about his car and the private room they’d just left.
While Adam was distracted, Sebastian closed the distance between himself and Emily. Without a word, he slipped an arm around her waist, pulling her into him.
Emily gasped, darting a glance toward Adam to ensure he wasn’t looking.
“What are you doing? If my brother sees, he’s going to kill you!” she hissed, trying to pry his hand away.
Sebastian only bent his head and pressed a kiss to her cheek, his hand sliding from her waist to her stomach. His fingers found the hem of her top, slipping beneath the fabric until his warm palm touched bare skin, stroking lightly.
Adam was still busy with the valet.
Sebastian only smirked, his voice low against her ear. “Then let him kill me.”
His hand moved from the back of her jaw upward, his large palm cupping her face and forcing her to turn toward him. Before she could react, his lips landed onto hers—hungry, breath-stealing, and shameless.
Emily felt the world narrow to nothing but his mouth on hers. His hand slid from her waist to her stomach, fingers slipping beneath the snug waistband of her skirt to caress her stomach with his rough touch.
Emily’s heartbeat roared in her ears. They were in the middle of the street, and every nerve in her body screamed that this was wrong, dangerous.
Her gaze kept flicking to Adam. Any second now, he could turn around and see everything.
Sebastian kissed her harder, his palm slipping up to cup her breast, making her knees weaken.
Then she saw it—Adam starting to turn toward them.
Emily froze, her heart slamming against her ribs. But before Adam could catch them, the valet stepped in, handing him the keys.
“Here are your car keys, sir.”
Adam turned back to the valet, distracted, missing the moment entirely.
Emily shoved at Sebastian’s shoulder, breaking the kiss, her voice sharp and frantic. “My brother almost saw us!” She put space between them, stepping back.
Sebastian followed, closing the gap again, his jaw set, his eyes burning into hers. He grabbed her waist and pulled her flushagainst him again, looking down into her eyes with searing intensity.
“So what if he sees? You’re my wife. Why are you so scared?”
Before she could answer, Sebastian kissed her again. He pressed hard, teeth grazing hers in quick, sharp nips, lips moving over hers with a rough, demanding heat. His tongue pressed and slid against hers, claiming, circling, teasing just enough to make her shiver.
Every movement of his mouth, every brush of his lips and tongue, pulled her closer, pressing her body against his as if he couldn’t get enough.
