Just then, her phone buzzed loudly on the bedside table.
Sebastian’s eyes immediately flicked to the phone. She pushed against his chest, forcing him off her and onto his back on the bed. Then she sat up to grab the phone.
He reached to pull her back into the bed, but she pushed his hand away gently.
“I have to answer. It could be important.”
At last, Sebastian let her reach for the phone on the table, but he didn’t release her. Instead, as she sat up, his face dipped down to her neck from behind, his lips trailing soft, teasing kisses just beneath her ear while she answered the call.
“Hello,” she murmured in a tired, distracted voice.
Sebastian’s lips continued their playful assault, his breath warm against her skin, sending tingles that made her shiver. His hands slid around her waist, fingers tracing slow circles that tickled against her ribs.
She pushed at him lightly, a sharp glare flashing in her eyes, but he was relentless—completely ignoring her protest with a hungry stare.
On the other end, Adam’s voice was tense. “I went to your place, but you were not there last night. Where did you go?”
Emily sat upright at once, panic hitting her immediately. “You went to my apartment?”
She straightened quickly, searching her mind for a plausible excuse. Sebastian was unbothered. His lips grazed her neck again, and his hands moved possessively around her waist.
“Where are you?” Adam pressed. “Where did you stay last night?”
Emily’s mind raced. She couldn’t let her brother find out about Sebastian.
Sebastian, with a wicked grin playing on his lips, slid closer to her ear, his warm breath brushing her ear as he whispered in a husky voice, “Baby…”
Her heart nearly stopped.
She pushed Sebastian back with wide, horrified eyes, struggling to catch her breath through the rising panic.
“Was that a man just now?” Adam’s voice cracked sharp with anger as he barked down the phone instantly.
Sebastian, undeterred, edged closer around her waist, his lips trailing hot kisses along her neckline. With a sudden, possessive shove, he pinned her back against the pillows, lips and hands exploring relentlessly, pressing kisses along her neck and down to her bare chest. She tried to push him away, her fingers clawing weakly at his shoulders, but he refused to relent.
She swallowed hard and forced herself to answer, voice trembling, “It’s nothing, just… the TV was on.”
Sebastian’s lips curled into a smug grin, amusement flickering in his eyes as he took in her flushed face. Yet he pressed closer, his hands drifting lower, making her breath hitch and her body betray her with every ticklish touch.
On the other end of the call, Adam’s voice softened slightly, though still protective. “Alright… don’t get tangled up with men anymore. All of them are bad.”
Emily flinched as Sebastian’s teeth grazed her waist, making her hips arch instinctively against the mattress. He pressed closer, lips trailing over her skin in hungry licks, biting lightly along the curve of her hip, teeth grazing enough to make her shiver. His fingers circled her waist, sliding across her bare skin, teasing and caressing, coaxing small gasps from her lips.
“Ahhh!” she cut moan quickly, turning to the phone. “You’re also a man,” she stammered with a shaky laugh, trying to cover up the noise, “but you’re not like all those other men, right? Not all men are bad.”
Adam snapped instantly, “Don’t change the subject.” He took a deep breath and said quietly, “You and I are having dinner tonight. Meet me at six.”
Sebastian ignored everything else. His lips slid up her torso, brushing over her ribs with soft, teasing licks before he bit gently, sucking the skin, leaving a faint trail of heat. His hands moved to her sides, rolling over her curves, pressing, kneading, making her arch against him, every inch of her body responding to his touch.
His lips trailed along her neck, biting lightly, then soothing the sting with long, wet licks. His hands slid over her ribs and waist, pressing, teasing, holding her so she couldn’t pull away. She arched into him, heart hammering, breath catching in short, desperate gasps.
He rolled his hands over her bare skin, fingers tracing and teasing, circling her curves, brushing over the soft, sensitive spots along her ribs and waist. Each touch drew little gasps and moans from her lips, and every time she tried to squirm away, he held her tighter, refusing to let her go.
“Sure,” she answered Adam quickly, then hung up, desperate to end the call before another moan could escape.
Frustrated, Emily tossed the phone aside and sat up, shooting Sebastian a sharp glare.
But Sebastian’s eyes traveled down to her exposed breasts, his lips parting in even more hunger.
