“I’m listening.”

“I speak five different languages. I play the piano, the violin and the upright base, and I’ve been a member of MENSA since I was four. I use music to help children with their therapy.”

“You’re a fucking superhero,” Kofi whispers.

“Thank you.”

Kofi puckers his lips, and she kisses him.

“I would love to hear you play one day,” he requests.

“Sure, no problem.”

He pulls her close to him and kisses her. His tongue collides with hers. Tasting her and feeling her soft curves against him is making him want to never leave her side, and hopefully, he never does.

KOFI

Kofi’s hard at work fixing a woman’s tattoo. It’s placed on her bikini line. She broke up with her boyfriend and is getting a flower placed over his name. It never fails. The minute someone gets their partner’s name tattooed on them, the problems start, and they break up. If Kofi simply had clients who got tattoos based on break ups, his clientele wouldn’t shrink that much.

“I can’t believe that asshole cheated on me. Do you know that I helped pay for his LLC? And I supported him when he was in school. Men are shit. No offense.”

“None taken,” Kofi replies.

“And he left me for some bitch named Sapphire. What kind of goofy ass name is that?”

“Jennifer is a much better name, in my opinion.”

“Thank you. I hope she gives him herpes.”

“Please don’t make me laugh while I’m doing this.”

“Sorry. I just want to know why. Why leave after five years together?”

“He made a name for himself with your help, and now he thinks the grass is greener. I’ve seen this a lot. And I mean awhole lot. The man builds a life with a good woman and once things start to pop off, he thinks he deserves better. He sees his woman as something to be replaced. Trust me. He’s going to be crawling back any day now.”

“Thank you, Kofi. You’re really easy to talk to.”

“So, I’ve been told.” He smiles thinking of Suchi’s words.

“Hey, are you single?” she asks.

“I am, but I’m seeing someone.”

Damn, that feels good to say.

“Oh, I was thinking of hooking you up with a friend of mine.”

“Thank you, but no thank you. I’m happy where I’m at.”

“Well, she’s certainly a lucky girl.”

“Appreciate you.”

After he’s done with Jennifer’s tattoo, Kofi goes into his office for some privacy and calls Suchi.

“Hello,” Suchi answers.
