This moment changed mine. He grabbed me by the throat, my legs parted and he thrust deep inside me, like he needed to possess me. And somehow he did.

My eyes rolled to the back of my head, my slickness welcoming him home.

He fucked me with so much power and pent-up animalistic need, matching my own. As if he waited for this his entire life. My legs wrapped around his waist, my fingers clutching his forearms for balance and strength.

He pulled out almost completely when a breathy protest left my lips, and he rammed back in. His pounding consumed us both, each thrust hitting that sweet spot inside me. Stars swam in my vision. The world turned upside down. Sweat covered our bodies.

“You’re mine!”

“Y-yes!”

“Good, now scream my name.”

He thrust deep and hard. Faster and faster. His hand squeezed tighter around my throat and a loud moan filled the air as I shattered around him, the waves of pleasure crashing through me.

My insides clenched around his shaft and Illias grunted as he spilled inside me, his seed warming my womb.

He kissed my forehead and murmured soft words that sounded like, “I’ve waited a lifetime for you.”

THIRTY-NINE

KONSTANTIN

Ashriek pierced the air.

My eyes snapped open and I immediately reached for my gun. Nobody should get past my security but nothing was ever foolproof. My heart was beating wildly as I took in my surroundings.

There was nobody around. Just Tatiana.

She was thrashing in her sleep. Her forehead was slick with sweat. Her hands fisted the sheets so tightly that her knuckles turned white I could spot them in the dark against the black sheets.

“Tatiana!”

She didn’t respond, her thrashing continued. Her red lips trembled, her cheeks smeared with tears as she continued shaking and thrashing in my arms.

“Wake up, moya luna,” I demanded softly as I held her against my chest. “Stay with me.”

Her eyes shot open, those palest blue skies meeting my gaze and clashing with mine. The sorrow in them hit me hard in the chest. I knew I was running out of time. The moment she remembered the whole accident, it’d be game over.

She bolted upright, the terror in her eyes vivid as she stared at me with a horrified expression. Another scoot backwards and she pulled her knees to her chest, her hands wrapping around her knees while her skin appeared almost luminescent in the darkness.

Did she remember?

“You’re safe.” I kept my voice calm, clenching my fists while fighting the urge to touch her. My jaw tightened and my heart hardened recognizing the panic in my own heart. It was so foreign, I took longer than usual to recognize it.

It was the first time since my mother’s death that I felt fear. An honest to God true fear that rattled me to my bones.

I feared losing her.

“Are you okay?” I asked her, hell wrecking through my soul seeing pain in her eyes. Those big blue eyes that have the power to destroy me and she didn’t even realize it.

The delicate line of her neck moved as she swallowed, then nodded once.

I reached out for her and a relieved breath left me realizing she didn’t pull away. I tucked her under the covers and she scooted into me, her body small compared to mine.

She closed her eyes and whispered, “I’m scared of dying.”

My lips brushed against her forehead. “You’re not dying anytime soon.” She didn’t seem convinced. “I’ll always save you,” I vowed. “Even when you don’t want to be saved.”
