We faced each other and she tilted her head to meet my eyes. It felt like stars were stolen from the skies and now they shone in her eyes. Just for me.
“Do you want me to change it?”
“Fuck no,” she exclaimed and wrapped her arms around my neck. “I love it. Absolutely love it. Thank you!”
She dazzled when she smiled up at me. If I was smart, I’d look away. Instead, I soaked in her beauty and warmth as if my life depended on it.
“Well, lead the way, Captain,” she announced happily. “This will be the best date ever!”
I chuckled. “Even better than stealing from me?”
Her cheeks flushed. “Definitely better than stealing from you.” Then she peered at me from under her lashes. “Except what happened after I emptied your safe. That was pretty-” Her chest heaved slightly. “That was very memorable.”
I gently slapped her ass and urged her forward. “Come on, Mate. Time to get our sea legs.”
For the first time in my life, I felt lighter. Happier. Everything had always been about responsibility and keeping my family safe. But with Davina, it was just about us.
Her and me.
We launched the sailboat and cruised into the bay. It was calm today and Davina’s eyes roamed the bay excitedly. She tilted her face towards the setting sun.
Her body pressed against me as I steered us across the water. I tightened my grip around her waist, steering with my right hand. It was just the two of us, which was the reason I preferred the sailboat to the yacht. I needed a crew for the yacht. This would be just for our own getaway trips.
“You hungry?” I asked her.
She was eager to get going, knowing there was a surprise waiting for her.
“No.” She turned her face to look over her shoulder. “Are you hungry?”
“I could eat.” Your pussy. Right now. On the deck. All night long.
“Want me to go and see if there is anything below deck?” she asked and I chuckled. If she only knew what was on my mind.
“No. This kind of hunger only you can sate.” The meaning came through and her cheeks flamed. I lowered my head and pressed my lips to hers. The kiss was gentle at first, but it quickly turned hungry. Heated. She always overwhelmed all my senses. Nothing had ever impacted me as this woman.
I forced myself to pull back, before I lost my control and said to hell with the date plan.
She turned her attention to the horizon, her eyes on the Statue of Liberty.
“It’s quite a view,” she murmured. “Somehow it looks more mesmerizing and magnificent from this spot.”
“I agree,” I murmured. Though I wasn’t talking about the Statue of Liberty. It was my wife that looked mesmerizing. She took my breath away, and all my control.
Once at the spot, I let her hold the wheel while I went to throw over the anchor. Then I grabbed the picnic basket I knew was waiting. You’d think I was some romantic schmuck. I wasn’t. At least not until now. Suddenly, I was into wooing my wife to ensure her happiness.
I laid it all out, all the while Davina watched with a peculiar look on her face. As if she couldn’t believe it.Join the club, I mused. It was a novelty for me too.
Once the picnic was set up, I patted the plush seat next to me. “Now come here, Wife,” I purred.
She smiled as she strolled over to me. “I have to say, I quite enjoyed seeing you so expertly set up the picnic.”
I pulled her down to me, so she landed into my lap. “And I’ll quite enjoy expertly doing many other things to you and for you.”
She snorted softly. “That sounded filthy.”
“There is nothing clean about my intentions, Wife.”
She rolled her eyes, cutely, and I couldn’t resist pressing a light kiss on her mouth.
