At least he had no idea who I was. I’d have to remember to thank DeAngelo for insisting we wear masks. Despite the fact that I would probably die due to lack of oxygen because of the damn thing.

“You’re a woman!” Santi exclaimed, voice full of surprise. It was stupid how easily he got to me, made my panties soaking wet. Here we were fighting, and my pussy was clenching for him.

Yep, idiot with a capital I!

Using his hesitation and surprise against him, I maneuvered my legs from under him and wrapped them around his waist then swung us over, my thighs spread at his neck. Images of him eating me out in his villa in Italy flashed in my mind, and I had to stop a moan from slipping through my lips.

What was wrong with me? Even fighting him, Santi turned me on.Me. Complete. Idiot.

“You like women kicking your ass?” I rasped in Italian, keeping my voice husky and my knife against his throat.

“Depends. You like men slicing your pussy?” He flicked a gaze downward, then back at me, and I followed his eye movement.Fuck!

I had no idea how he managed to pull out a knife and press it against my inner thigh, too close to my throbbing pussy.Jesus! It turned me on unlike anything else. I had some serious issues.

“Depends,” I repeated his earlier answer, pushing my inner thigh into the knife. It didn’t cut, but for some sick reason, my entrance so close to him made me pulse with need. The heat from him was making me ache even worse.

He chuckled darkly. “Sorry, honey. Not today.”

“Too bad,” I rasped and realized too late I replied in English.

His brows furrowed and I cursed myself silently. I couldn’t blow my cover. I hadn’t seen him or talked to him since Italy and my feelings hadn’t diminished one bit.

Maybe if I kill him, I’ll get rid of this love for him, I mused silently. Although, it would probably be pointless since just the idea of him shattered me. If him trampling my heart didn’t change my feelings, nothing would.

As if I was pulled by an invisible hand, I leaned closer to him. I cursed that I couldn’t bury my nose into the crook of his neck and inhale his scent. Two months were too long without him.

“Let’s go!” DeAngelo’s shouting shattered my lust filled haze.

“Your friends will leave without you,” Santi deadpanned in a taunting voice. “You might want to run.”

“Do us both a favor,” I murmured, ignoring his comment. “Don’t do something stupid. I’d hate to slice that sexy throat of yours.”

Amusement I hadn’t seen since Italy flickered in his amber eyes. “At least it’s sexy.”

“Don’t let it go to your head,” I warned, though there was no real threat in my voice. “I could still change that.”

Okay, so I wasn’t a badass woman and killing churned my stomach. But to use it with Santi… yeah, it was time well spent. I straightened and stood up in one swift move. Just in time, since Carrera approached with his gun pointed at me.

In one swift move, DeAngelo pointed his at him, and I flipped my knife through the air, catching it between my fingers.

“Don’t worry, Ink,” I muttered. Why in heaven would he have so much ink was beyond me! “I left your sexy friend intact.” I glanced over to see Santi already on his feet, his one hand on his gun and the other holding his knife. It was the first time I’d seen him in battle, and I had to admit, his ass was fucking sexy and dangerous.

Makes me want to jump his bones!

“Leave them,” DeAngelo shouted again, never removing his gun from the target. Our helicopter was close by the sound of it. I flashed my gaze up and saw it right over the tree line, then looked at the two men in front of me.

My eyes locked on them, my steps shifting towards DeAngelo.

“This has nothing to do with you and your men,” I told them over my shoulder. “But you might want to clear out. This place will blow in… hmmm, about ten minutes.”

The noise was getting louder, and the wind picked up from the propeller of the helicopter.

With a final nod, I ran towards the helicopter and jumped in, DeAngelo right behind me. I glanced back, hoping those two took the warning seriously. I didn’t want anything to happen to them. They were running in the opposite direction.

They listened, I breathed easily.

I pulled the mask over my head, my hair falling loose down my back, and I wiped the sweat off with the back of my hand.
