Liberty had been a different guy since Belle had agreed to marry him. He had actually been nice to me and everyone else. It made it too hard to even tease him, because he was always smiling and insulting him was just not as fun anymore. Today was his wedding day and that alone surprised me. Things had changed 180 degrees. Being his twin, I couldn't be happier for him. Belle had done for him what none of us could. Made him less annoying and more easygoing. I chuckled to myself.

Yeah, funny thing what love could do for a person.

I had just come from his room. He and Zed were getting their outfits ready for the ceremony. I had my suit already hanging in my room.

I had to admit it, I felt nervous as I sat here and wondered if I was crazy. Most would say I was but this would be my opportunity.

It would also be one of two things: The best day of my life… or the worst day of my life.

I’d already talked with Belle and she said it was a wonderful idea. It had taken almost three weeks to get this all ready. Then keeping it all a secret had been very difficult.

Briget came into the main room with Daisy on her heels. They both made their way over to where I sat. Wrapping her arms around my neck, she kissed me like she always did when she saw me.

I was still sitting so I pulled her into my lap and kissed her back. Today, my kiss was a bit desperate. I didn’t want to show her how nervous I felt but it was hard to hide it.

Breaking the kiss, Briget leaned her head back and studied me. “Are you okay?”

I slowly shook my head as I stood with her in my arms then set her down in the chair.

Staring at me, she looked concerned as she asked, “What is it, Fate?”

With a yap, Daisy jumped up on her lap.

I chuckled and said, “Well, that is probably a good spot for you to be right now, Daze.”

Briget grabbed my hand as she looked worried. “Everything is good in Louisiana, right?”

“What?” I asked, then I nodded my head. “Oh, yes. Everything is good. No bad news.”

“Alright, then what’s the matter?” She tilted her head at me.

“Nothing’s wrong…” I chuckled nervously. “Well, not yet.” I knelt down on one knee in front of her.

Her gaze dropped to my face as she kept staring at me. “Fate?”

“You already know that I love you,” I began. “You are my whole world. I want us to have forever together. And you have agreed to be my girl. But will you agree to be my wife?” I reached into my pocket and brought out the ring box. I had picked it out online then had it shipped. I opened the small velvet box to reveal a multi-karat gold ring.

With rounded eyes, Briget’s face went completely white. “W-what?” she asked.

“Briget Blossom, will you marry me?”

Yap, yap!

I nodded my head at the little dog. “She answered right away. Now it’s your turn, Blossom.

Briget slapped her hands over her mouth as she gasped.

I raised the ring so she could see it better and to remind her of the question I just asked. I also had an extra cake made and the alterations for her Maid Of Honor dress was for her white wedding dress. Belle helped with all of it as she knew what Briget liked.

With shaking hands, Briget grabbed Daisy, then set her on the chair. She stood and let out a squeal. “Oh, my God!” she exclaimed as she dove for me, knocking me to the floor off my one knee position.

I landed on my back as Briget sat on top of me and Daisy hopped round me while licking my face.

“I can’t believe you are proposing!” Briget yelled.

Reaching up, I grasped her face and asked again, “Yes or no?”

She blinked at me. “I didn't say yes?”
