I wanted to reply, but I found my eyes drooping as I gave into sleep. A warm, ‘cocooned by Justice’ sleep.
Chapter Nine:Mr. Perfect
Justice
I woke up and saw the sun peeking through the curtains. I felt her warmth up against me. Her sweet ass was right at my stomach. I suddenly realized nothing had ever felt so good as what had happened last night. I did almost everything I had been dreaming of doing to her. I realized today that I had been rough at times. I should have maybe curbed myself. I just couldn’t seem to.
Reaching over, I stroked her silky hair. Today would be rough and none of us knew what might happen. When dealing with an unknown madman and his entire crew. I didn’t really like the plan but what other plan would make me feel better? None. Only if Scarlet stayed here and we all went to get her sister instead but that would never happen.
I know I had told Scarlet that she shouldn’t be afraid, but again that wasn’t realistic. Whether this was Deacon or just a drug dealer, the situation wasn’t a good one. Neither entity could be trusted. I hated this, the whole fucking thing. Scarlet would have to step out of that car and face whomever it was that had done this. I really did not trust myself not to raise my weapon and blow this man’s brains out as soon as I saw his ugly face. Somehow, I just knew that this kidnapper didn’t want the money. He wanted Scarlet.
Honestly, ever since she told me about this, I felt like it was all a ruse. Whether it was Deacon and his games or some dealer, I still believed it was a lie. If I could only keep Scarlet out of it.Stupid thought I know, but there it was. In a few hours, I would be in a trunk out of sight as she would be facing this asshole.
Beside me, Scarlet groaned and shifted a bit. I eased my arm under her and held her.
“Justice?” she whispered sleepily.
“Yes, sweet Scarlet?”
“Was last night real?”
I paused then let out a chuckle. “Yes, Scarlet. Very real.”
Turning over, she faced me to ask, “Why didn’t I ever know?”
I stared at her. “Know what?”
“That underneath the suit and gentleman act there was a sexy beast?”
I paused, then laughed.
“Nooo. I am serious here,” she went on. “You literally turned me inside out last night.”
My laughter faded as I now felt worried. “Was I too rough? I thought maybe I went too far.”
Now, she laughed as she smacked my chest. “When we do it again, don’t change a thing.”
I slowly shook my head. “Are you sure?”
“No doubts, ok? I never...I meanneverfelt like that before.” She wrapped her arms around my neck and looked into my eyes. “You were right by saying you weremyMr. Right.”
“Well, that’s a mouthful.” I grinned at her.
She smiled back at me. “I want it all over again, and I would have you do just that right this damn minute, if we didn’t have to...” She let out a troubled breath.
“I know, baby. In fact, we’d better get cleaned up and dressed, so we will have time to eat before heading to the garage.”
“Ok…” She sat up then winced.
“You okay?” I asked her.
“Yes and no.” She chuckled wryly. “I’m not used to being sexed like that… at least not by someone who is a master at it.”
I shook my head. “Watch it, you are jacking my ego up and I might just start swaggering around like I am ALL that. Liberty will want to punch me out.” I laughed.
She turned her head and looked at me. “Youareall that, Justice. But you are all mine too. I’m the lucky one here. And I won’t even ask you how you acquired thoseskills, Mr. Walker Attorney.”
“I study.” I gave her a cheeky grin.
