I laughed.
“I am.” Scarlet nodded. “Finally, I can say that I’m very lucky.”
Looking over at me, Belle studied me intently.
I felt like I’d just been swiped and put on glass, under a microscope. I looked right into her eyes and said, “If you’re looking for stalking crazy, you won’t find it here. Or a liar who cheats, that is not here either. What you will see is a man who has never been in love, until I found your sister. You will also see a man who will treat her like the queen she is.” I held her gaze as I went on, “I hope someday you will trust me. If not, it will hurt but it won’t matter. I love Scarlet and that is all that matters.”
Raising her brows, Belle asked me, “Are you sure Liberty is your biological brother?”
I stared at her then I laughed. “I have wondered that same thing for my whole life.”
Scarlet laughed with me and finally, Belle joined in.
“Ha, ha,” Liberty said as he came over to the car. “I heard that.” He shook his head. “I’m riding with Ranger.” He glanced at Belle. “You can choose whoever you want, but you missed out, sugar.”
She again looked shocked at his brash behavior. “Don’t you ever quit?”
He gave her a huge grin. “Not ever.”
I grabbed Scarlet’s arm. “Come on. This is a train wreck about to happen and I’ve had enough action for one day.”
Scarlet nodded then turned to look at her sister again. “It will be okay, Belle. I’ll see you when we get there.” Turning, she went over with me to one of the bikes.
I climbed on and then looked over at her.
Still standing there, she bit at her lip and admitted, “I’ve never been on a bike either.”
I smiled. “All you have to do is two things.”
“Ok.” She shuffled her feet. “What are they?”
“Climb on and hold onto me.”
She looked surprised. “And that’s it?”
I nodded. “That’s it. I will do the rest.”
She curled her lip into a sexy smile as she stepped close and whispered, “You mean like our night together?”
I raised my eyebrows and then I laughed. “Yeah, but we have to keep our clothes on for this.”
She laughed with me.
I loved the sound of her laugh. So bubbly and sweet. I wanted to hear it for the rest of my life.
“Hey!” Liberty called over the comm. “You do know everyone just heard that, right?”
Gasping, Scarlet smacked her hands up over her mouth as her cheeks went to a bright pink.
Leaning my head back, I laughed.

Embarrassed, I hopped onto the back of the bike.
“Ok, Scarlet,” Justice spoke softly. “Wrap your arms around my waist and keep them there.”
