“Dagger here, tail just parked at the curb one house down. He is still in the car.”
“Let us know if he even bats a fucking eyelash,” Talon stated.
“10-4, big Claw,” Dagger said.
I paused at the nickname as Liberty snickered from beside me.
“Ok, we have the meet location,” Talon stated.
I waited for him to tell us the location.
“Heading there,” Talon announced. “Our men will be hidden.”
“Man in car has taken off,” Dagger reported. “Odd thing, he was on the phone while she was in the house.”
“Follow,” Talon said. “Shit, he may be the meet man.”
I agreed. “So, if it is just him, we could take the guy down easy,” I spoke into the comm.
“No sudden moves, Justice,” Talon advised. “There could be others at the meet.”
“I will make a move if this goes sideways,” I replied.
“Take it easy, man,” Talon advised me. “One wrong mistake…”
The car door opened as Scarlet got back in.
“Scarlet leaving,” Key’s came back on.
“Everyone proceed to Third street,” Talon came on again. “Old Jasper gym. Stay out of sight. You all know what positions to take already.”
The car was moving again and I noticed it moved along at a much faster pace than before. Scarlet was feeling the pressure now to get her sister back.
“Damnit, lost the creepy dude,” Dagger came on.
“Come back?” Talon asked.
“He pulled through the carwash,” Dagger explained. “I circled around and he was gone.”
“Make of car?” Talon asked.
“Older Camaro. Like a kit made one. Copper brown, licence was 5609KWZ.”
“Got it,” Logan came on. “Searching database.”
Scarlet turned, then after a minute she turned again.
“Scarlet coming up to gym,” Talon reported. “Hold positions, you in the trunk, too. Hold.”
Hold my ass, I thought. Not for long.
Scarlet made not a sound as she sat waiting, I assumed.
“Camaro coming up,” Talon said.
Just then, Logan came on, “Registration on Camaro is Wade Stephens.”
I sucked in a breath. “Sonofabitch!”
