Keys nodded as he and Ranger along with Prophet went down the hallway.

Talon looked back at me.

I nodded at him. “Prophet is a crack shot.”

Over the comm, we heard. “Tac two, front is dead, moving in, over.”

“Hangfire,” Talon spoke into the comm. Then he said, “Ace, eyes on front?”

“All zero,” Ace replied.

“Tac one, front to rear, disappear,”Get Going, move with a purpose.

I did know all the lingo they’d been using, but I realized I was way out of training.

“All clear, just package left,” Keys came on. “She’s not moving.”

I raised my head. “Fuck.” He meant Glory.

Talon finally gave me the nod. I opened the door while holding my breath. Two men were dead on the floor with perfect holes in their foreheads. I moved forward and saw Glory.

She lay prone on the bed.

I hurried to the bed and leaned over her to take her pulse. Then I got a huge surprise. A knife pricked my neck. “Glory?” I asked.

The knife shook as she lowered her hand. “Redemption?” she whispered.

“Yeah sis. It’s me.”

“I-is he gone?” she asked in a shaky voice.

“Who?” Then I realized she meant Deacon. “Yeah baby girl, he’s gone.” I wished he was dead but he was gone for now.

She bolted upright in the bed and hugged me. I scooped her up and turned to carry her out.

Talon watched me then he tapped his comm. “Have package one. Status on Package two.”

“Got her,” came the response. “Unconscious though.”

“Damn,” he said and motioned me forward. “We got vehicles out front.”

I carried Glory down the hall.

“Redemption,” Glory said with a gasp. “You're bleeding!”

“Don’t feel it. No worries.” I shook my head as we went out the front, passing several bodies along the way. When we stepped outside there was lots of activity. Our men were already packing up the bodies and blood ran everywhere along the ground.

“Oh, my God,” Glory whispered as she looked around in shock. “It looks like a war movie.”

“A war, sis. But not a movie.” I sat her on the seat in one of the SUV’s and stepped back to tap my comm. “Ace, you tell Jarret she’s safe.”

“He sees her now,” Ace replied. “We got eyes up close.”

“Redemption?” a sweet voice came over the comm.

“Yes, Cinnamon?” I smiled.

“You are bleeding!” she shouted.
