“We are Charlie Mike,”Continuing mission.Talon spoke into his comm, “Oscar Mike.”We're on the move.
Keys looked over at Talon. “When we enter, we split up. You Walkers head to Glory. We will head to the unknown package. Meet at the front after we get the all clear from tact one. The crew in the back has our six. Ready?”
“Hell yeah,” Talon answered.
We all raised our guns and took off.
Once we got closer, we slowed down.
Keys, Tank and Ranger, all moved forward and took out the six guards with silencers, almost before I could blink. Then we Walkers moved inside as we followed the team.
We split off as Talon led us to a hall. He took down one guard and I got the other. Our brothers had each side of the hallway covered. Suddenly, men came from each end of it.
“Watch your six. Hit em back!” Talon shouted.
Gun fire went off. I got hit in the chest and took a deep breath. Kevlar armor stopped it as I traded shots with our attackers. Shouts and screams rang out as men were hit, ours and theirs. My gut clenched as smoke blurred the hallway and I couldn't tell who of our team had been hit. I lowered down and squat walked to the door. I could finally see Talon and our brothers.
“Move!” Talon ordered.
Looking up, I said, “I got the door.”
“The hell you do, see the wire?” Talon hissed.
I gazed down and saw what he meant. There was a tripwire across the bottom.
Just then, Keys came in. “Any down?”
“Me…” Liberty called out.
“Me too,” Dagger called.
“Shit,” I swore and moved back. Looking over at Liberty, I could see him holding his arm.
“It’s not bad,” he told me.
“Keys, we need Tank for a wire,” Talon called.
“Affirmative, in a sec,” Keys called back.
Talon went to check on Dagger.
Then the huge man they called Tank came over and knelt down. He studied it for a few seconds then dug into his vest. Flipping a small kit open, he retrieved a tool.
I was sweating now as this could be insta-death right here.
He used an odd looking pair of rubber snippers and cut the wire. Then he tugged it hard.
A small pop echoed out and I covered my head.
“Chill man, it isn’t your time to blow,” Tank quipped as he chuckled.
I stood and asked, “Can I open it now?”
“Wait,” Talon answered me as he stepped close again. He tapped his ear comm. “Ace, is there just one sig in there still?”
“Negative, is now three,” Ace answered.
“Fuck.” Talon turned to Keys. “Need get through the glass to take out two with the package.”
