“Well, you probably already know the names of my children.” Bea snickered. “Though they aren’t babies anymore that’s for sure.” She pointed at Liv. “This here is Oliva and yes, I named her after my sister as a tribute to her. She’s with the NSA. Trained long and hard to pass up the men she was up against in her career. My only daughter.” She looked over at Talon. “Now him, I know you met. He is my oldest. A decorated war hero, but don’t say that to his face, he doesn’t feel like any of that matters. Then Hawk, he now runs the Rebel Saints MC chapter here in Ramton. Like you and Jacob, he loves bikes and the life of that. Then his twin Dagger, he… Well, he finished school and was a business major. Then there’s Raven, and he is the calmest of them all. Steady as any man I ever knew and that reflects on the man he was named after. My Jacob. He run’s The Walker Dojo that Jacob created. They are all trained in the ways of fighting. Jacob brought them up like that, even Liv.” She gazed up at Jarret. “He would be proud of them all if he were standing here today.” Tears filled her eyes.
Dad placed his hand on her arm. “I’m sorry about what happened to him, Bea.”
Nodding, Bea swiped her tears away. “Our family suffered for a long time cause of that. I hadn’t seen most of my kids for almost seven years after he died. They all came home though and that helped a lot. But Jarret, you need to realize something here, Olivia Claire is crazier than a box of mad frogs. She kills like it’s a hobby for her. No remorse in her. No regrets. If we let her go, she will come after all of us, and this time it won’t be to make our lives miserable like she done before. She will kill every last one of us.”
“Except for me.”
We all looked over at one of the men that Bea did not introduce.
Bea’s expression changed to a loving warmth as she walked over to where this man sat at the table and placed her hands on his shoulders. “This is my son as well. Raised him right alongside my other kids. His name is Rylan Walker. Better known as Rip.”
Our dad stared at him then he looked up at Bea. “He has my father’s name?”
Nodding, she stated, “Your brother Bronson named him.”
Dad stared at Rip. “Yeah, I can see Bron in him.”
I finally spoke up as I too stared at Rip and asked what we were all wondering, “So why aren’t you on O’s kill list?”
Rylan turned his head to look at me and then over at my brothers. “Because O is my birth mother.”
Chapter Three:All For Love
Cinnamon
Absolute silence.
That was what the room was filled with as I looked around. They were all staring at poor Rip.
He shrugged. “I thought she had been dead all these years, just like everyone else.”
“Has she said that she didn’t want you dead?” Redemption asked him.
Nodding, Rip replied, “Yes, she said she never wanted me hurt. But she took my woman Sofia.”
“For what reason?” Jarret asked him.
“She wanted her, so we would grab—” He glanced over at me then he shrugged. “It was a wild goose chase to get me to leave the ranch.”
I felt such relief. Rip was protecting my past. I knew that was what he was doing.
“To make you leave?” Fate asked him.
Rip looked disgusted now. “Yes…She had a bomb planted below the house.”
“This house?” Jarret asked with a growl.
“Yes, and I wouldn’t have been here,” Rip stated. “When it went off.”
“Fuck…” Redemption swore. “She did want you all dead then.”
“Who the hell knows what she wanted?” Liv exclaimed. “Death to anyone she dislikes or resents. The woman is a sociopathic serial killer at the very least.”
I knew this to be a fact. When she had us girls working for her, a few disappeared after they talked back to O. The rest of us knew she had them killed. Hell, she might have done the deed herself for all I knew.
“Why would she resent all of you?” Justice asked.
Again, silence fell in the dining room.
