Rylan and I looked over.
It had come from Ma as she had her hands over her mouth and her eyes were huge in her face.
We paused at this but we heard more gasps from the video feed, so we looked from her back to the screen.
Talon slowly walked over to the gates, then he halted. Staring at the stranger, he backed up a step and said, “Dad?”
“Oh, Lord!” Bea exclaimed as she fell onto the carpeted floor in a dead faint.
I rushed over and knelt next to her. “Ma? Ma!”
From the other video feed screen on Logan’s desk, we could hear O as she sang the song she had been humming for days, “Glory, Glory Hallelujah! Glory, Glory Hallelujah, the saints go marching in!” Then she laughed.
Chapter One:The Walker War
Cinnamon
I rushed down the hall to the security room when I heard Ma Walker scream. My heart pounded in my chest as I had seen those motorcycles at the gate. Trouble had finally arrived. I knew O wasn’t done by a longshot. Not her style. No, her style was kill first and ask questions like never.
When I skidded to a halt in the doorway, I saw Sofia helping Ma up. “I-is she okay?” I asked as I hurried over to them.
“I think so?” Sofia was supporting Ma’s body.
Rip came over and stood beside us as he stared at Ma’s pale face and asked, “You need a chair, Ma?”
She didn’t answer as all Ma could do was stare at the PC screen on Logan’s desk.
The tall wide shouldered biker stepped toward the gate and stared at Talon. “No, son. I’m not your dad.”
When she heard the man’s voice, Ma gasped. She looked white as a sheet.
Talon now glared at him. “Who the hell are you?”
The man looked around at the Rebel Saints and the Walker men who were all aiming rifles at him and at his men on the bikes. Then he turned his gaze to Talon to finally answer him, “I’m Jarret. Your father’s brother.”
Ma kept shaking her head while looking astonished as she stared at the screen.
“I never heard of you,” Talon replied.
“Well, maybe that was a good thing, I don’t know. I’ve been gone a long time.”
“What do you want?” Talon asked. “Did you just decide to come visit and bring a whole MC with you?”
“It’s a long story, but I need you to know that we came in peace. We are not here to make any trouble.”
Talon studied Jarret then lowered his rifle and lowered his hand at his men to do the same. “We have to be careful as we have been under attack for a while now.”
Jarret nodded. “From some woman named O, right?”
Talon stared at him. “What do you know about her?”
Jarret slowly shook his head. “Not much, just that she did something recently… or she had something done to one of our own.” He glanced back at the men on cycles behind him to wave one man over then he looked back at Talon. “You’re Jacob’s oldest right?”
Talon nodded. “Weston Walker or better known as Talon.”
Jarret nodded and motioned to the man who’d dismounted from his bike and walked over. “This is your cousin, Redemption. He’s the President of the Requiem MC, out of Sugar Land Texas.” Jarret turned to Talon. “My MC.”
Talon stared at Redemption. “I will ask again, what do you want?”
