Gracie:Man. Growing up is really hard work.
Felix:Sometimes I wonder how I made it.
Gracie:Next question?
Felix:Sure.
Gracie:Last girlfriend?
Felix:Her name was Sarah. We were together for six months while I was playing for the Wolves up in Chicago.
Gracie:You played for the Wolves?
Felix:Started there right out of college. Then I had the chance to go up to the NHL and play for the Hurricanes, but I came to the Appies instead.
Gracie:Youdidn’tgo play in the NHL? Isn’t that the whole point of the minor leagues? To send people up to the majors?
Felix:Usually. But. That kind of life. It wasn’t for me.
Gracie:Too stressful?
Felix:Too public.
Gracie:Gotcha.
Gracie:What ended your relationship with Sarah?
Felix:That, actually.
Gracie:Not signing with the Hurricanes?
Felix:She wanted the life, I guess.
Gracie:Boo. Sarah’s loss for not recognizing your value.
Gracie:Also, how could anyone not want the life you offer?
Gracie:Though, as the woman who is currently snuggled up on your very comfortable couch in your very beautiful apartment with a bag of apple cider donuts and a very delicious latte…I could be biased.
Felix:Okay. Your turn again. Last boyfriend?
Gracie:Anton. A very broody violinist in college, then off and on for a few yearsaftercollege. He was very dramatic. And loved himself more than he ever loved me.
Felix:We’ve covered some serious ground.
Gracie:And we didn’t even use any of our passes!
Felix:I’ll tell you anything you want to know, Gracie.
Gracie:Really?
Felix:I kind of want you to know everything.
