“How could she have stolenmydaughter when she’s my woman and has been watching her for years?” I ask coldly and stand in front of her as I say, “How could she have stolen her when I have adoption papers in my office ready for Sky to adoptmydaughter.”

Lacey’s nostrils flare, and she screams, “She is my daughter, not hers!”

I chuckle darkly and remind her, “You only see her as your daughter when you think I’m around so stop pretending like you want her. All you want is my patch, but the moment I met Sky,it belonged to her, and you never had a chance,” I lean down and smirk, “Though, if you had managed to trap me that day you sucked me off, I most likely would have given you my cut then, such a shame Blade called me away huh?”

Lacey’s eyes widen before her face reddens, and she thrashes in the chains that are keeping her to the chair and screams at the top of her lungs in outrage and I chuckle, and I stand straight again while Brick grins.

“The best thing I ever did was order you to make friends with Sky,” he says over Lacey, and I laugh because while yeah, how he went about it was wrong, it was the best decision he had ever made because I would have made this bitch my woman out of duty.

Lacey continues to thrash, and without a second thought, especially knowing Tate is upstairs probably still upset and that my girl, my heart, is waiting for me, needing our daughter in her sights, I grip the knife and move quickly. Without her even realizing and push the knife into her ribs, stabbing her lung making her gasp as she freezes in shock.

We lock eyes, and she gasps, “She-she’ll never forgive y-you for this.”

I hum and admit, “It’s a price I’m willing to pay to ensure you never go near my daughter or my woman again, and this way, Mama Lopez gets her revenge too.”

I pull the knife out and step back as Lacey coughs, blood spluttering from her mouth as she gasps for breath.

Brick stands beside me and mutters, “Rot in hell, bitch,” and I smirk, not taking my eyes off her.

If Tate hates me for this when she’s older, then so be it because at least now I know she’ll always be safe, as well as Skylar.

“Technically, my wife got her revenge, she got to kill Melissa,” Brick mutters as choking sounds echo in the room, and I hum and ask, “Did Venom contact the Hyenas?”

“Yeah,” he replies, “they don’t know it was him who called, but they are aware the bitch is dead and that Skylar is a Dark Angels Brat by blood to the President and an old lady.”

“Good,” I hum, as Lacey’s eyes close and her chest stops moving, and I take a deep breath.

“She won’t hate you,” Brick says, reading my thoughts, and I nod, praying he is right because other than Skylar, that little girl is my fucking everything. While I hate who birthed her, I love her more than life itself.

“Let’s go see your wife,” I state, and he nods as he texts the prospects to come burn her body and wash the ashes down the drains underneath the chair.

Brick and I walk into the hospital twenty minutes later while Tate holds me tight around my neck, clinging to me like a koala, her face still red from all her crying after I left her with Mama in the common room.

“She’ll calm down in a few weeks, son,” Brick says as he gently rubs Tate’s hand that is dangling over my shoulder, and she allows him, knowing he’ll never hurt her.

She calls him gramps…

I gently rub my daughter's back, and I nod before we enter the hospital room.

Mama Lopez is still out cold and I sigh catching Skylar’s attention and she tilts her head, her eyes looking at a frozen Brick warily.

“I thought it was time he came to see his wife,” I admit, and she nods and replies, “I think you may be right. Nothing else is working, and she’s being stubborn.”

I smile before Tate struggles in my arms, making me frown and put her down before she turns and runs over to Sky crying, “Mama!” and my mouth parts as Brick grips my shoulder in support, coming out of his frozen state.

I watch in awe as Tate throws herself at a shocked Sky, who instantly catches her before her eyes tear up, and I choke, “Well, it is about time,” and Brick grips my shoulder tighter while Blade, who is sitting in my usual seat, grins wide like a loon.

“She hadn’t stopped crying the whole time we were at the club,” I admit as I walk over to Sky, kneeling before her and Tate, and she nods, her tears falling.

“I love you,” she rasps, her eyes locked with mine, and I grin, replying, “I love you too,” then I admit, “and I’ve flushed away your nightmares. She won’t be hurting you or our daughter again.”

She nods as she sniffles, and I lean forward, gently pecking her lips, electric volts shooting through us before I look at Brick and state, “Come see your wife.”

He swallows as he looks Mama Lopez over, and Blade states, “She needs you, Dad. It’s time to show her she is all you want.”

“She knows she’s all I want, son. I just lost myself over the years out of guilt,” he admits as he walks into the room and rounds the bed before taking his wife’s hand and whispering, “Hey baby…” before leaning down, gently pecking her lips.

Her heart rate spikes, and I hold my breath, watching as her eyes twitch and Skylar whispers, “Come on, Mama, he’s here, wake up.”
