“Hey Tiffany,” Blade says, “am I interrupting?”

It wouldn’t matter even if he were because we all know he wouldn’t turn around and walk away now that he knows where my office is.

Damn Venom, at least he can’t see who owns it I guess being under Mama’s uncle’s name worked out well.

“No, we’re now off,” she replies, and I look up and lock eyes with her hazel ones as she says, “Just hurry up and forgive his ass. I miss my grandchild, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

I grin as she turns and walks away, Tate waving to me on her way out as my phone goes off again, and I shake my head.

My Girls – Lake: Maybe kick him where the sun doesn’t shine so he can feel how much he’s hurt Mama Lopez? xx

Well, it is a good plan, so I’ll give her that.

My Girls – Me: Too late he’s already in, and Lake, does your boyfriend know you threaten men’s family jewels? Xx

I press send with a smile, but it soon disappears as Blade says, “You got a minute, sis?” and I sigh because no, I do not, at least not for him.

My phone beeps.

My Girls – Lake: No, he doesn’t, I haven’t shown him my evil side yet. I’m hoping he’ll fall madly in love with me before that happens, and besides, Blade deserves it. He’d agree if he knew xx.

I shake my head. Lake’s been seeing a guy for a good seven months but apparently isn’t ready to out their relationship yet. Something about not wanting her dad to scare him away.

I look up to see Blade looking at me with a raised brow, his arms crossed over his chest.

“If I say no?” I ask, and he shrugs and admits, “I still won’t be leaving.”

Jackass.

“Then why bother asking if I have a minute?” I snap.

He shrugs again and replies, “I don’t know, trying to be polite, I guess.”

Again, jackass!

“I’ve got to get back to work, Blade, so why don’t you explain why you are here,” I say with a bit of tension, the need to hit him hard.

Lake’s idea is sounding more and more tempting by the minute.

He sighs, “I want to get to know my sister. Is that so bad?” I narrow my eyes at him, but he continues, “I get it. Dad fucked up, you had a bad first impression of him, and I doubt your mother shined him or me in a good light over the years, but you’re an adult now, Skylar,” he looks around my office then back at me as he states, “If my mama is the reason why you don’t want anything to do with us then I’ll speak with her, maybe see if she’ll live in one of the apartments the club owns while you get settled in and after well, she’ll just have to get used to you being around–”

I cut him off and snap, “Get out!” making him sigh, but I threaten, “If you don’t get out, I won’t be held responsible for my actions, Blade!”

How dare he? I mean seriously, no thought or consideration for his own freaking mother!

How would he like it if Luna had someone else’s child and demanded it live on club property to be a reminder of her affair?

I mean, I know I love my mama, and I know he has no idea that my mama is his mama and that she would love not to be living on club property, but that's not the point!

He’s not even thinking of her or her feelings, only thinking of himself.

“I’m not going to walk out, Skylar. I want to get to know my sister, my old lady wants to get to know you too. She’s pregnant with twins, your nieces or nephews! It’s time for you to come home where you belong,” he snaps, and I narrow my eyes at him and I say lowly, “I have a nephew his name is Hudson, now get out!”

His jaw ticks, and he snaps, “You’re being selfish, Sky!”

Mother…

“I’m being selfish?!” I shout, my anger taking over, making him flinch, “You’re not even considering your mother's feelings in all this! What kind of son are you, you spoiled selfish prick!”
