I grab my charger and toiletries, shoving them in the bag and zip it up, not bothering to grab anything else. If I need anything, I can always buy it after I get my baby doll.
I run from my room and down the stairs, skipping a couple at a time in my rush. I shove my feet in my boots and grab my keys off of the small table by the door. In my haste, I remember to set the security alarm before running to my car. I shove the keys in the ignition and rev my baby before skirting out of the driveway, my back tires fishtailing.
Everything is a blur. The only thing I can think about is getting to my baby doll.
I’m so fucking close; I can almost taste it—I can almost tasteher.
I pull my phone from my pocket and hit dial on Leo’s number. After four fucking rings, the motherfucker finally answers—still pissed, apparently.
“What do you want, Vin?” he asks, his tone gruff and short.
“I fucking found her—well, Mike did, but still. And I need your fucking help. I’m on my way to the pub now,” I huff out, out of breath from running around. I make it to the end of my long drive in no time, and I swerve onto the highway, my tires squealing as I head in the direction of the pub, the numbers on the speedometer rising every second. The car roars around me as I push it to its limit. The vibration underneath me spurs me on.
“Fuck, Vin. All right, I’ll meet you there.” He hangs up the moment the words leave his mouth, and any other time, I would be fucking annoyed, but not right now.
No, right now, I’m too fucking anxious. I’m getting my baby doll—today.
But first, a new fucking car. Because as much as I love this baby, she’ll recognize it and I can’t have that just yet. I need to sneak up on her because I already know if she sees me coming, she’ll get spooked and try to run again. I have to ease her into it again. I have tomakeher remember how fucking good we were together. How good wearetogether. How fucking good I make her feel.
Thoughts of her tight pussy wrapped around my cock swarm my mind and I groan as I grip my growing cock, trying to calm it down.
Soon.
So. Fucking. Soon.

“Here. This should be good enough,”Leo states as he tosses a set of keys at me. I look over just in time to catch them before they smack me in the face.
“Nice fucking toss,” I quip, a smirk playing on my lips, but Leo’s not swayed. His amber eyes glowering at me.
“Okay, not in the mood, I see. Well, what fucking took you so long? I’ve been here for twenty minutes,” I bark out before I swallow the two fingers of whiskey Andy poured me.
“You sure you should be drinking that if you’re going to be driving?” he asks, crossing his arms over his broad chest.
“Yes.”I grit my teeth.
“Okay, fine. Car’s out back,” he nods his head toward the back of the bar, towards the kitchen. Without another word, I make my way to the back of the pub, Leo trailing behind me. We slip through the kitchen, not uttering a word to either person working at the grill. Instead, I push through the back door and step out into the cool air, seeing a navy blue Ford Explorer.
“This the car?” I ask, turning back to glare at Leo.
“Yep.”
“You still mad at me?” I ask, not wanting to care, but somewhere—deep down—I do.It’s driving me fucking nuts.
“What the fuck do you think, Vincent? Of course I am. You could’ve fucked up so much shit. You could have fucked up not only your life, but mine too. And the fucking business. Fuck you,” he snaps.
“I’m—I’m fucking sorry, okay? But I had to do it. You fucking know that.” I glare at him, but hope he forgives me. I don’t want to leave with this tension still between us. Not when I have to focus on Essa.
Speaking of…
I bounce from foot to foot, anxiously waiting for him to say something so I can leave. He must sense that because the next words out of his mouth are the exact ones I needed to hear.
“I forgive you. Now get the fuck outta here and go find your girl, you piece of shit.” But he smiles as he says it and I heave a sigh of relief, feeling a weight lifting off my chest.
“And I already put your bag in there, so go. Call me when you find her.” Without being told twice, I jump in the car and turn the key in the ignition, peeling out of the drive, heading east, toward Le Grande.
I’m fucking coming for you, baby doll.
