Fuck, this feels too good. My power goes haywire and Jayden moans as he scoots closer to me on the bed so his side is brushing mine.

His hips buck and his hard cock bumps into my hip through his pants and I wiggle to get closer, but the shadows tighten around my arms and legs.

“Jayden, I want to touch you.”

“With electricity zapping through your palms and driving me crazy already? That’s a bad idea.”

“No, it’s a very good idea,” I say as he nips my breast.

Something hard and round presses at my entrance and I jolt. The shadow lapping at my clit continues its assault and the shadow at my entrance shoves forward, pressing into me hard and fast.

A scream bubbles up and white-hot euphoria blasts through me. My magic roars in my veins and static fills the room as sparks burst behind my eyes.

“Fuck,” Jayden curses as he scrambles away from me on the bed.

The scent of burning fabric meets my nose and I jolt up. Jayden’s shadows fall quickly away as I survey the damage my magic has done with a groan.

“Sorry, that was too much.” My cheeks heat in embarrassment and Jayden laughs.

“That has definitely never happened before. Are your powers growing again?” He reaches out to cup my cheek, but I back away.

The magic is still buzzing angrily below my skin, and I don’t want Jayden to get hurt by it.

“It’s still going crazy.” I hop off the bed to assess the damage and grimace.

The entire comforter is charred black and my cheeks heat.

“What the fuck did I do?” I ask, chewing my lip.

“You burned my bed.” Jayden chuckles.

“Gods, I have to go.” I turn to leave, but Jayden’s arm wraps around my waist and pulls my back to his chest.

“One, you can’t go out naked, Beth,” Jayden whispers in my ear.

I glance down at myself. “Shit.”

I scan the room for my clothes and find them scattered across the black marble floor.

“Two, where do you think you’re going? You’re mine tonight, baby.” He nuzzles my neck.

“Where the hell are we supposed to sleep? This is the only room on this floor that doesn’t creep me out.” I shiver in his arms.

Jayden blinks and glances around the room with a frown. “We could go up to your room, but you will have to get dressed first.”

I zap him lightly and dash to grab my panties and shirt from the floor, thankful they were tossed on the floor and not burned up on the bed with Jayden’s blanket and mattress.

I pull up my underwear and thread my arms through the button-down shirt and button four buttons before spinning around and smirking at Jayden.

“You’re not going out to the stairs like that.” He folds his arms over his chest.

“Why not? No one else comes up here except Raven and Adrian. It’s nothing they haven’t seen before.” I shrug.

“Adrian? I’ll kill him,” Jayden barks, clenching a fist at his side.

“In his visions, Jayden. That’s it. I have no interest in anyone other than you, idiot.” I grip his chin between two fingers and turn his eyes to mine.

Jayden’s shoulders slump and he chuckles. We are pretty sure Adrian has gotten more than one unwanted vision of us, but he doesn’t tell us about them thankfully.
