I spin on my heel. “Yeah, and what did you feel this morning when I brought you back from the brink of insanity?”
Jayden glares but doesn’t respond to the question. Well, fuck him. I am seriously over his bullshit.
Turning back, I continue up the stairs, ignoring the heated whispers behind me and the stares from other students on each floor.
I breathe a sigh of relief when I get to the tenth floor. Jayden and I are the only ones who live on the top floors so there are no more curious stares from here on out. Thank fuck for that. I’m tired of people.
At the twelfth floor, I march to my door and place my hand on the doorknob and it swings open. The others follow me inside and we spread out around the room.
I sit back against the headboard with my legs out in front of me, crossed at the ankles.
“How do we get to the underworld?” I ask, and the fact that I can now ask that so casually is a bit of a shock and I giggle.
“What’s funny about this?” Raven raises a brow at me as she flops down on the end of my bed.
“Just the fact that we are talking casually about taking a trip to the underworld.” I shrug and everyone except Jayden chuckles.
“I have been there several times.” He turns the chair to peer down at the United States map on the desk.
“Okay, then how do we get there?” I ask.
He doesn’t turn around or acknowledge me.
I growl in frustration, picking up the pillow next to me and hugging it to my chest. A scent that shouldn’t be on my pillow assaults my nose and I widen my eyes.
I take a deep breath through my nose, and his woodsy scent assaults me. “Jayden, where did you fall asleep last night?”
“At the desk, I think?” He frowns.
Adrian grimaces. “I couldn’t get him to wake up and he may have kind of sleepwalked to your bed and curled up next to you.”
“What?” I sit forward, putting the pillow back on the bed, definitely not missing his smell or leaving it there to preserve it.
Nope. I can be in denial all I want.
“I was asleep. I don’t remember that.” Jayden throws his hands up in the air. “Why are you even asking that now?”
My cheeks heat in embarrassment. I glance away and Raven catches my eye with a cheeky grin.
“Yeah, Beth, why are you asking now?” She glances at the pillow.
She knows exactly why but she wants to tease me about it. Bitch.
“Fuck off, Raven.” I grab the pillow from behind my back and swat her with it, my cheeks flaming.
Both guys are watching with confused frowns. Jayden doesn’t even have the decency to be embarrassed that he curled up with me in his sleep. Ass.
“Hey! I’m not the one who subconsciously curled up in bed with someone they don’t even like in their sleep,” I growl.
“I never said I don’t like you,” he whispers.
“You have a funny way of showing it,” I shoot back, irrationally angry.
Jayden turns back to the map on the desk, ignoring my words once again. I sigh. He’s impossible, but at least I got the heat off me.
Raven raises her brows at me, a grin still plastered on her face. She sniffs loudly so I smack her with my pillow again. “Stop it.”
“Stop what?” she asks innocently.
