Raven gurgles through the wadded-up T-shirt that Adrian shoved in her mouth but her grip on my hand loosens a little.

I groan in relief. She didn’t break anything, but it felt like she was going to.

Jayden falls back in the grass as the last of the magic snaps. It twirls around Jayden’s arms like a snake.

Raven slumps to the ground, unconscious. I shake out my hand after she lets go completely.

“You okay, Jayden?” I ask with a frown.

The magic is still swirling angrily along his arms.

“I will as soon as I figure out what the fuck to do with this.” He shakes his arms, but the magic just keeps swirling there.

“Do you guys have any ideas?” I ask, turning to Heracles and Theseus.

The ancient demigod warriors shrug at me. They fucking shrug. What the hell?

Adrian tilts his head to the side and frowns.

“I think he needs to absorb it,” Adrian says with a faraway look in his eyes.

“That really doesn’t sound like the best idea,” I say, staring at the writhing magic.

Theseus shakes his head. “The seer says to absorb it. I think that’s what you must do.”

“How did you know he’s a seer?” I ask.

“He has an aura much like the prophetess has,” Theseus responds.

“You know the prophetess? Can you take us to her? That’s why we are here,” I say, excitement bubbling up inside.

We can get the hell out of the underworld faster if we have someone guide us to the woman who will be able to tell us where the helm is.

Heracles frowns. “Why are you looking for the prophetess?”

“Dude.” Raven’s voice has me turning and nearly squealing in surprise. “You noticed the demons in paradise, right?”

“Raven, how are you feeling?” I ask, crouching next to her.

“Like I was blasted with magic and then had the life sucked out of me.” She sits up and nearly collapses back on the ground.

“You have no idea how accurate that is,” I say with a chuckle.

Heracles crosses his arms over his muscled chest and glares at us. “You haven’t answered my question.”

“We need to talk with the prophetess. She’s the only one who can tell us where to find Hades’ helm and stop the demons from wreaking havoc on Elysium and the human world.” I plant my hands on my hips.

Why would he think we are here to hurt anyone when we just helped them kill that demon?

Theseus frowns. “Is that what happened? The demons have been ransacking Elysium for only a short time. We wondered what happened.”

“We were on our way to talk to Hades when we were attacked.” Heracles nods.

“Can you take us to her?” I repeat my earlier question.

The demigods stare at each other for a minute.

“Fine,” Theseus says with a grunt.
