“Shit, I didn’t even think about that.” He shakes his head.

“Me either,” I say, hanging my head. We are some great friends, aren’t we? “Adrian, what do you think?”

“I don’t have a problem with it and I haven’t had any visions saying we shouldn’t.” Adrian shrugs.

I open the cafeteria door and we race through the quad to the car. Other students watch us with interest as we pass but no one attempts to stop us or follow and I’m thankful for that.

Now that we have to make a detour, it’s more important than ever that we hurry as much as we can.

Jayden gets to the car first and opens the front passenger door for me. I smile at him before sliding into the car, fidgeting with my hands in my lap before I remember to put my seat belt on.

Raven whistles as she gets into the seat behind me. “They really did fix this baby up. There are no more holes.”

“I know, I was shocked too. I didn’t think it would be this perfect this quickly.” I turn to face her in the back.

Looking at the back seat, I’m happier than ever that Rebecca backed us on Dax not coming. That would be a super tight fit with him back there and I would not have been sitting back there with him.

Jayden shuts his door with a loud bang and starts the car. “Let’s go warn Greyson and then get to the entrance to the underworld.”

Jayden pulls out of the parking lot and turns down the gravel road leading out past the wards, going faster than he should.

With Jayden racing down the freeway, it doesn’t take us long to get to the pack house and luckily everything seems peaceful.

We get out of the car, doors closing loudly, but before we get up the path to the door, Greyson is rushing to us.

I jump out of the way as he races to Raven, picking her up and spinning her around like she weighs nothing.

He kisses her hard and I turn away from the display, cheeks heating.

“What are you doing here?” he asks as he breaks the kiss and sets her on her feet but doesn’t let her go.

“Not out here,” I say and nod toward the house.

Greyson’s eyes widen and he turns back to the house, leading us all inside with his arm around Raven’s waist.

“What’s going on?” He waves a hand for us to sit on the leather sofa in front of the window. Raven moves to sit with us, but Greyson puts his hands on her hips and pulls her into his lap.

“We have to go to the underworld,” I say slowly.

Greyson’s eyes widen comically and he glances at Jayden, knowing he’s the son of Hades. “You’re serious?”

“Dead serious,” Jayden says.

I can’t help the giggle that escapes. Jayden glares at me but I just shrug. It was funny.

“There’s an entrance in LA,” I say with a sigh.

“Of course there is. I mean it is LA.” Greyson chuckles, shaking his head.

He’s not wrong but we really need to get through with this so we can get to Orpheus. I just hope things aren’t too bad when we get there.

“Have you noticed anything strange around here the last couple days?” I ask, getting us back on track.

“Like what?” Greyson asks, wrapping his arms tighter around Raven.

“Demons.” I rest my elbows on my knees, ready to jump up if I need to.

I have no idea what we are up against. How do you kill a demon? Can we even kill them? Not until we get Hades’ helm back for him.
