His shadows lick over my clit as Jayden slows his pace to the same rhythm as the shadowy tongue on me.

Fuck, he doesn’t play fair.

His hand in my hair tightens and the pain mingles with the pleasure, only adding to my impending orgasm.

Jayden chuckles next to my ear and licks the shell before taking the lobe between his teeth. “You like that, don’t you, baby. You like the way I can lick your neck but there’s also a tongue doing dirty things to your clit.”

His dirty words only serve to send me higher on that cliff.

His hand on my hip tightens to almost bruising as he pushes me forward once again so I’m on my hands and knees.

His shadows still lap at me as he slams into me with another powerful thrust. My entire body breaks apart and I scream as rainbows of light dance behind my closed eyes.

Jayden roars as my walls squeeze him and he empties inside of me, still pushing in and out to milk every last bit of pleasure out of both of us.

I collapse on the ground and Jayden rolls to the side and wraps his arms around me.

“Are we supposed to be doing something?” I frown and roll to face him.

“What are you talking about?” Jayden asks and rests his chin on my head.

“Do you feel weird? It’s kind of like…” I trail off and gasp, turning Jayden’s chin down to stare in his eyes.

They are glassy like someone used magic on him. I sit abruptly and scan the bubble we are in.

“What? What does it feel like?” he asks, sitting up and grabbing for his clothes.

“Remember New Mexico? The hotel where we were drugged with magic?” I ask, grabbing for my own clothes.

“But that would mean—” Jayden’s eyes widen and he curses.

We didn’t want to take this step until we are back at the academy and can figure out what’s happening between us. Fuck, Hecate has ruined everything again.

“The goddess of magic has fucked with us again,” I grumble.

This bitch is really getting on my last fucking nerve. Why can’t she just leave us the fuck alone?

Once we are both dressed, Jayden waves a hand and the shadows around us dissipate.

Everyone is still asleep which I’m thankful for, but if Hecate used her magic on us, she could have used it to make the others sleep.

“We need to wake the others. If this is Hecate, then she is close,” I say as I march over to Raven.

She’s still sleeping peacefully, but when I shake her, she doesn’t budge.

Why would Hecate put the others to sleep and force a different kind of magic on Jayden and me? It doesn’t make any sense.

“Raven, wake up,” I shout next to her ear and shove her.

She moans in her sleep but doesn’t awaken. I turn to Jayden who is kneeling by Adrian, shaking him brutally.

“Claud?” I shout. “Are you under the spell?”

The cyclops shifts and turns back into the huge man with one big blue eye.

“No magic,” he roars.

Claud waves a hand in front of his nose like something smells and he frowns.
