The doors open on the second floor, and a maid is about to step in when Thia looks at the woman and her gray eyes glow.

“Take the next one,” she demands, and the woman steps back.

“It looks full. I’ll take the next one,” she says with a glazed expression.

Whoa, what the fuck was that? Thia can be scary for such a tiny person.

“That was badass.” Raven grins at Thia when the doors close. “Your eyes glowed. And she just did as you told her. Cool.”

“It’s not cool. I try not to use it often, but this was an emergency.” She shrugs. “Get ready.”

As soon as the doors open, we burst from the elevator but skid to a stop when we see a woman standing in front of the doors. She puts her hands on her hips and glares at us.

Her blonde hair is pulled in a sleek ponytail. She’s tiny like Thia. Would she fit in my pocket? Probably not. She’s not that small.

She reminds me of an angry chihuahua.

I snicker at my own thoughts again and ignore Jayden’s scowl.

“No, Gigi, you can’t fight in my hotel,” Thia screams at the woman.

I’m guessing that’s Aegle. I have no clue why she would go by Gigi now, but that’s up to her, I guess.

“Thia, why are you helping them?” Gigi growls, taking a threatening step forward.

Raven’s swords are already in her hands. “We don’t want any trouble. We’re just leaving.” Raven steps in front of all of us.

She’s the only one with weapons.

“You know I’m a goddess, right?” Gigi smirks at Raven like her display is of no consequence.

Raven smirks. “And I am a daughter of Ares, bitch. Who do you think will win in a fight?”

Gigi pales a little, and the smirk is wiped from her face.

“You didn’t bother to ask who you were coming after?” I crack up laughing. It turns a little manic as I let lightning fill my palms.

Gigi gulps which makes me laugh harder.

“Daughter of Zeus.” She looks over at Jayden warily as he lets his shadows out. “Son of Hades.”

She’s starting to look green.

Raven chuckles. “Thought you could take out a few minor heroes who came on a fools’ mission by yourself, did ya’? How’s that working out for you, cupcake?”

“They didn’t say that you were powerful, just that you can’t leave here alive.” A panicked expression crosses Gigi’s features and then she disappears.

“Go. Go now,” Thia shouts at us pushing us to the door. “She’s going to get Hessie.”

I share a look with Raven as we take off running. If she’s getting Hesperia, then we definitely need to leave.

I would hate to destroy the beautiful hotel because we were attacked by a hundred-headed dragon, but it looks like the reality of us being attacked by Ladon and the other two Hesperides is very, very probable.

“Jayden, unlock the doors,” I scream as I pull at the handle to the front passenger door.

Finally, the locks click, and we all dive into the car. Jayden fumbles his keys, almost dropping them, before finally starting the car and tearing from the parking lot.

A rage-filled roar fills the air as we head east down Main Street.
