I follow the drops’ path with my eyes, and a sexy chuckle fills the room. That’s even worse for my senses.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I glance up, and his eyes are dancing with laughter and heat.

How the hell do I get out of this?

After grabbing the clothes from the bed, I run from the room to the sounds of their loud laughter.

Fucking assholes.

“This place is really cool,” I yell over the loud music in the bar.

The bar is teeming with people. It’s a little place that looks like a dive but is actually much cooler with a live band and a huge bar on the first level.

When you go up the narrow stairs, there’s dance music on the second floor, much like many of the other bars on Broadway.

“Let’s go upstairs,” Raven calls out, pointing to the stairway.

I nod, and we all head up to the second floor. It’s loud, the base filling the air.

Jayden’s hand finds my lower back, and I lean into him.

“Dance with me?” I blink up at him over my shoulder.

“I’m not much of a dancer,” he whispers, his hot breath tickling my ear and causing me to shiver.

He chuckles, wrapping his arms around my waist.

“I think if we’re going to find anything, it will be here,” Raven yells next to me. “We’re going to spread out to see if we can figure this out.”

Raven pulls Greyson to the other side of the dance floor, and I wonder if it’s really to cover more ground or to give me time with Jayden.

Sneaky bitch.

“I guess it’s just me and you,” Jayden says, his hands on my hips as he pulls my back into his front.

“I thought you don’t dance.” I groan as he starts to move behind me to the beat.

His hands skim up my sides, and I bring my arms up behind his neck.

“Do you feel that?” Jayden whispers, then he shudders.

His body tightens, and for a second, I think he’s talking about us.

“Mmm, yes,” I say, swaying my hips to the music.

Jayden chuckles and kisses my shoulder.

“Not my body against yours, beautiful. Though, I love how responsive you are to being in my arms.” He squeezes my hip again, twirling me to face him.

Jayden’s lips descend on mine in a featherlight kiss. “Do you feel the magic?”

I moan, chasing his lips with my own before the question registers, clearing the fog from my brain.

I balk and scan the room for Raven and Greyson. “Shit, that feels like a god’s magic.”

“Why would a god be taking humans though?” He hasn’t let me go, and his breath still tickles my shoulder.
