The fuck I was letting my littlefioreslip through my fingers. She was more succulent and delectable than my little butterfly. I haven't thought about my little butterfly since meeting my littlefiore.
As my prey moved closer and closer to the exit, I knew I had to do something fast. I thought back to my go bag and knew what I needed. I reached into the black bag and grabbed the needle filled with ketamine. It wasn't my first-choice drug, but I had to use what I could get my hands on.
I slammed one hand on the door, which stopped her and distracted her enough to look that way. With my other hand, I administered the drug into her neck. No stabbing here. Not only did I not want to hurt her pretty neck, but I also had experience in this sort of thing. While Vittorio refused to give me an inner circle title, I was the best enforcer the Picone family had. I should be in charge, but—I shook my head of the nonsense running through it.
I swung Araceli in my arms and brought her back to the bed. I tucked her in. To anyone looking in, it would look like she was sleeping. I had to get prepared. A sudden knock made me spin around on my heel and grab my gun. No one should be at my door now. I opened the door and revealed Rosalina.
"Fuck, what are you doing here, Rosalina?" I snapped.
I checked the halls after bringing her into the room to make sure she wasn't followed.
"Where have you been? You disappeared and now everyone is asking for you," she slurred, swaying on her feet.
Why did they send my drunk half-sister to come fetch me?
"There's a girl in your bed," Rosalina mumbled, stumbling towards Araceli. She shot me a look of pure horror before rushing to the bed.
I hung my head and let out an exasperated breath. "Rosalina, you need to leave," my tone brokered no argument.
"You didn't! Vito promised you wouldn't do this again," she babbled, her voice rising a few octaves.
"It's not what it looks like," I tried.
"It's not? So, it doesn't look like you have a woman drugged in your bed? What were you planning on doing with her?" Rosalina was raking me over the coals.
I'd had enough. I rushed Rosalina and grabbed her by her scrawny throat.
"What I planned to do is none of your fucking business. What you need to do is go back to the party and tell everyone I'm not attending whatever other festivities they have planned, capisci?"
I emphasized the threat by tightening my hand and raising her feet off the floor until she nodded her head weakly in agreement.
I let her go, her body dropping like lead to the floor as she coughed and rubbed her throat. She shot daggers out of her eyes, but Rosalina had always been the weakest of all us and not because we were men.
"Tell me one thing?" She coughed around her words.
I nodded my head, letting her know she could speak.
"Are you going to kill her?" Rosalina's face was paler than I'd ever seen.
"Not yet." I grinned with savage satisfaction.
"You're going to miss Vito and Eunji's wedding. They decided to do it here," she added.
"I could give two fucks. Times up." I grabbed her by the back of her hair and dragged her to the door. I tossed her out of the room and slammed the door in her red face.
Then it was time to make arrangements. I hadn't expected to bring any cargo, so I was stealing the family's plane. The others could take a different way home.
After speaking with the pilot, I sat and stared at myfioresleeping. I was going to give her another needle full of drugs in a few hours, but we had time. I wanted to get better acquainted with her body.
I rolled her over after taking the robe off her body. She was blemish-free and her skin was smooth and soft. I ran my hands all over, inspecting my prize. She had a small five-point crown tattoo on her hip. It was so small, I would've missed it if her skin wasn't so free of bumps.
There were bruises on her hips from our play. She had some light bruises on her ankle. I could see my fingerprints around her neck. There was an indented scar on her forehead. I worried that she had been hurt, but it was old. Someone had shot her. I had enough bullet wounds to recognize hers. My chest rumbled in satisfaction seeing her wear my marks. I hoped she did it with pride.
Fuck. She was going to fight. I smiled, thinking about her fighting me. I grabbed the phone off the hook and ordered food. Unfortunately for my quarry, she wouldn't be eating for a long while. I had to keep her sedated. It made my life a little easier.
I ate my fill and went back to getting to know Araceli. I looked her up but couldn't find any information. I sent her name back to a guy in Philly who ran information for me. I wasn't sure what he would get from her first name. I could only hope there weren't that many Aracelis out here.
