"The FBI came to me,Papi.I didn't try to turn on you. I just… I just got confused. They got in my head. I told you I was sorry. I ran because you didn't believe me," I whimpered. Nothing would change this outcome.

"Oh, she's good. Isn't she good, Reuben?"

Uncle Reuben had a few snorts from his own baggy and was nodding his head in agreement. His eyes were glazed over from the drugs.

"Too bad you'd watched her for months." Uncle Reuben sneered at me. He licked his lips in anticipation.

"Trust no one," El jefe stated.

"No one." Reuben wiped at his nose and stumbled toward me.

He was higher than el jefe, but it didn't matter. I shouldn't have come back. This was a mistake. One I was going to pay dearly for.
