Darke opens one eye, looking at me with a hint of amusement. “You think you’re funny, don’t you, little prince?”
I grin, feeling playful. “Maybe a little.”
Darke sighs, sitting up and running a hand through his hair. “Alright, alright. I’m getting up. But you’re coming with me, okay?”
“I wish I could Darke, but I have a wedding I need to plan for a client of mine,” I say getting up.
“How about after work, you can come to my place and I’ll make dinner,” he asks with invitation on his lips.
“I would love that,” I say, smiling.
Darke smiles back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Great, I’ll make sure to have dinner ready as soon as you come. Same time? 6 PM?”
I nod, feeling happy and content. “Sounds perfect.”
Darke gets up from the couch, stretching his tall frame. “Alright, I should get going. But first…” He pulls me into a gentle kiss, his lips soft and warm.
I melt into the kiss, feeling my heart flutter. “Mmm, have a good day at work, beast,” I whisper when we break apart.
Darke chuckles and heads for the door. “You too, little prince. See you tonight at my place.”
As he leaves, with his clothes back on, I feel happy for our evening together last night. And I can’t wait to see him again tonight to continue our loving moments.

DARKE
After a long day of poring over case files and staring at the computer screen, I headed home eager to unwind and prepare for Bobby’s arrival. Once there, I quickly showered and dressed in my favorite black dress shirt, pants, and shoes, hoping to create a romantic atmosphere. I’d texted Bobby earlier, asking him to dress up as well, and set a soft mood with some music.
The doorbell rang, a surge of anticipation and nervousness coursing through me. Taking a deep breath, I smoothed down my shirt and opened the door to find Bobby looking absolutely stunning in a white dress shirt and dark jeans. His eyes sparkled as he smiled, and my heart skipped a beat.
“You look amazing, little prince,” I murmured, taking in his appearance.
He blushed charmingly. “Thanks, Beast. You don’t look too bad yourself.”
I chuckled, stepping aside. “Come in. I’ve got everything ready for us.”
The soft music, dimmed lights, and enticing aroma of pot roast filled the air as Bobby entered. His eyes widened in delight, and I knew I’d nailed it.
“Can I get you something to drink? Beer, wine, or soda?” I asked, heading to the fridge. “Water, please,” he replied.
I grabbed a beer for myself and handed him the water before joining him on the couch. “So, how was your day? How’s the wedding planning going?”
He took a sip of water and smiled. “It’s going well. The couple is great, and they know what they want, which makes things easier. The wedding’s in September.”
“That’s fantastic. It’ll be beautiful, I’m sure,” I replied.
A comfortable silence settled between us, broken only by the soft clinking of our drinks. Reaching out, I gently brushed a strand of hair from Bobby’s face. His eyes met mine, filled with affection.
“How was your day at the station?” he asked, pressing a quick kiss to my lips. A jolt of desire shot through me.
“The usual chaos,” I replied, taking a sip of beer. “But we closed a few cases, so that’s a win. Bureaucracy was a pain, as always.”
I stretched, grinning. “The best part of the day was definitely anticipating seeing you.”
He blushed. “Aw, thanks, beast. That means a lot.”
I placed my hand on his knee. “I mean it, little prince. You’re the highlight of my day.”
