Bobby reached for the door handle, but I spun him around, capturing his lips in a passionate kiss. The surprise in his eyes quickly melted away, replaced by a longing that mirrored my own. His arms encircled me as we deepened the kiss, a silent conversation of desire and connection.
A low growl rumbled in my chest as I claimed his mouth with possessive hunger. “You’re mine, little prince,” I murmured against his lips. “Don’t you ever forget that.”
We pulled apart, breathless and intoxicated. His eyes, filled with a tender warmth, met mine. “I needed that,” he breathed, resting his head on my chest.
I held him close, my heart swelling with love. “Me too,” I replied, the words a mere whisper against his hair.
For a long moment, we stood there, the world outside fading into insignificance. Then, with a gentle tug on my hand, Bobby led me inside. The loft was a haven of comfort and intimacy, the perfect setting for our deepening connection.
As we moved deeper into the space, the magnetic pull between us intensified. Our lips met again, this time with a fierce urgency. The world narrowed to just us, our bodies yearning for closeness. In that moment, I knew without a doubt that I had found my home, my safe harbor, in Bobby’s arms.

BOBBY
Lost in the depths of Darke’s eyes, I felt a profound sense of wonder and gratitude. How had I, of all people, found him? His gaze seemed to penetrate the very core of my being, yet he chose to remain.
A lump formed in my throat as I thought of my parents, their love a distant memory, cold and distant. But Darke’s love was a warm embrace, healing old wounds. I traced the lines of his face, feeling the rough stubble against my fingertips.
“You’re really here for me, aren’t you?” My voice was barely a whisper.
He nodded, his gaze unwavering. “Always, little prince. I’m not going anywhere.”
A tidal wave of emotion crashed over me. I was falling, deeply and irrevocably, into love with this man. He had shown me that I was worthy, that I deserved to be cherished and protected.
“Beast, is it a crime to say ‘I love you’ to an officer?” My voice trembled slightly as I brushed my lips against his.
His eyes softened, a tender smile playing on his lips. “Not at all, little prince. In fact, I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.”
“Well then, beast… I love you.” The words poured out of me, and I sealed them with a passionate kiss. His lips responded with equal fervor, a storm of desire and tenderness. In that moment, I felt truly alive.
“I love you too, my little prince,” he murmured, his voice filled with conviction.
We pulled apart, our breaths mingling. His eyes held a depth of emotion that took my breath away. “You’re not just my lover, Bobby. You’re my friend, my confidant, my everything.”
Tears welled up in my eyes. “I feel the same way, Darke.”
We stood there, lost in each other’s embrace, the world fading into insignificance. Then, with a gentle strength, he scooped me up and carried me to our haven. The rest of the night was blissful of Darke and his love he gave me in my bedroom.

DARKE
It’s morning. I’m in my office at the station staring at my computer, but not focusing on what’s in front of me. I’m zoning out because of my little prince.
I chuckle to myself, thinking about Bobby and how he’s taken over my thoughts and most importantly, my job. I refocus on my work, and put my thoughts of Bobby aside.
Suddenly, my partner, Mike, walks in. “Hey, Darke, what’s going on? You’ve been zoning out all morning.”
I try to brush it off, but he raises an eyebrow. “It’s the kid, isn’t it? Bobby?”
I nod, feeling a sense of pride. “Yeah, it’s him. I’m just… really happy, I guess.”
Mike smiles. “I’m glad for you, Darke. You deserve it.”
“You know, I have strong feelings for him, Mike,” I say my eyes distant.
Mike nods understandingly, his expression softening. “I figured as much, Darke. You’ve been different since you met him. Happier, more relaxed… it’s like he’s brought out a side of you that nobody’s seen before.”
