Darke nods enthusiastically, “Chinese sounds perfect. And maybe we can try the dessert you got?”
I smile, “Of course, beast.”

We order the food, and then the food delivery guy is here to drop it off. “The delivery-”
“Let me go get it for you” Darke say being generous.
“Okay, beast. He’s right at the front door,” I say to him.
Darke gets up from the couch and walks to the front door, his broad shoulders and confident stride making him look even more handsome. He opens the door, and I hear him exchange a friendly greeting with the delivery person.
He returns with a big smile, carrying a bag of steaming hot food. “Alright, little prince, our Chinese food has arrived!” He sets the bag down on the coffee table and starts unpacking the containers.
The aroma of freshly cooked Chow mein, soup dumplings, and fried rice fills the room, making my stomach growl with anticipation. Darke notices and chuckles, “I think someone’s hungry!”
I nod enthusiastically, and we both dig in, savoring the delicious flavors and enjoying each other’s company.
As we eat, we chat about our day, sharing stories and laughter. It feels so natural and comfortable, like we’ve been doing this for years.

DARKE
Acontented belch escaped my lips as I leaned back.
Bobby chuckled as he cleaned up, tossing the empty takeout containers and loading the dishes. A bit embarrassed but amused by his reaction, I offered a sheepish, “Excuse me, little prince.”
He turned, still grinning. “No apologies needed, beast. It’s natural.”
I pulled him into a hug. “You’re one of a kind.”
He snuggled in, content.
After a quiet moment, Bobby’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Want to watch a movie?”
“Sure, why not?”
We pick a horror movie. Bobby puts the DVD ofParanormal Activityin the DVD Player, next to his TV.
As the horror movie unfolded, Bobby sought refuge in my arms during the scary parts. His heart pounded against mychest, a mix of fear and exhilaration. I held him tight, whispering reassurances.
“I got you, my little prince,” I whisper in his ear, with a low chuckle.
When the ghost frightening scene ended, he peeked out, his eyes wide with excitement and fear. “That was terrifying!”
I chuckled. “I warned you.”
He rolled his eyes playfully but stayed nestled in my embrace as we finish watching the film.
As the credits roll, Bobby looks up at me with a smile. “Thanks for watching that with me, beast. It was fun and less scary with you by my side.”
I smile back, feeling my heart swell with love. “Anytime, little prince. I love spending time with you.”
Then our eyes connect together and I lean towards him.
I pull Bobby in for a kiss. He moans, as I deepened the kiss. As we break the kiss, Bobby goes on my lap, cupping my stubble jaw. I smile, and he crashes his lips on me.
