“Hurry the hell up, man.” I heard Zac say.

“Shit! She could fucking kill him if he doesn’t back the hell off,” Cole said. “Why is she letting him drink?”

“It’s the bond she formed and how it altered her. She could kill him with just a thought.”

I stayed focused on the room discussion and ignored Logan, violently drinking from me. I knew I could overpower him physically and mentally, but I focused on his strength instead. His large hands gripping around my legs, his firm muscular body forcing me into the wall, and his powerful vampire bite that was greedily taking my blood.

He withdrew a few seconds later and licked my blood from his lips. “We’re making up for this shit next time,” he said with his sapphire eyes boring through me. “Thanks for not killing me by the way.”

I watched Logan’s face grow pale, and his lips lose color. His eyes went black while he looked dazed and began stumbling around.

“It’s the blood and the bond he took in. His body is in the process of rejecting it,” Edgar said.

“And if his body rejects it?” Cole seethed.

“He could easily die,” the warlock simply answered.

“He’s not dying. I won’t allow it,” I said in a vicious growl.

“You can’t counter your own power. Sorry, but you can’t save him,” Edgar said looking at Logan who Nakia guided to sit on the couch.

“What the hell?” I shouted. “Damn you, Logan! God! Shit!” I said, trying not to go into a panic attack that my vampire was so damn stupid that he couldn’t wait five seconds for us all to figure out how to calm my evil wish-granting genie ass down.

“The wolves,” Zane said, looking at me. “Let Nakia and Bren drink from her. You said the vampires can’t drink this blood, but the wolves are more resilient.”

“Are you sure?” I questioned as Bren walked over to me.

“We don’t have an option. We have one vampire down already, so that rules the vampires out. The warlock is useless, and you are lethal,” Cole answered as he hovered next to Logan, trying to help him get oriented.

“Shit,” I said taking in Bren’s handsome face, noticing the brilliance of the wolves icy blue irises. “I’m sorry if this goes bad.”

He ran his hand over the side of my neck and smiled, “We’re going to be okay. Just think good thoughts and shit like that.”

I tilted my head to expose the vein where Logan had just drunk from. “Here, just get it over with.”

He studied my neck and ran his thumb over the puncture wounds, “I’d rather not take a vampire’s vein.”

“Are you fucking kidding right now?” Braden boomed. “You’re worried about sloppy seconds while you’re about to learn whether or not drinking her blood is going to kill your stupid ass?”

“It’s fine.” I smiled at Bren’s thin lips, imagining tracing them with my fingers. I started to feel a pull toward the shifter, and that was good if anyone asked me. I tilted my neck the opposite way and watched his eyes go as wild as Zane’s did before he fed.

Bren exhaled, “I’ll try and hold back, but I’m feeling more than just wanting to feed on you suddenly.”

“I feel it too.” I nervously smiled. Shit, I hardly knew this wolf. Bren had been the quietest out of the entire bunch. He was as handsome as hell, but who out of all in the room wasn’t? His body was perfectly proportioned, and I instantly followed my instincts in tracing his firm pecks and running my hands down his rigid abs as I felt the wolf’s fangs enter my neck.

Instantly, I was wet and throbbing, and I ran both hands along the V-shaped muscle that led to paradise. I ran my hands over his hardness and moaned, prompting a guttural sound from the wolf. My hands were pinned between his hard cock as he lifted me up some to please it by pressing to the one area that was now begging for the wolf to thrust himself into.

“Oh God in heaven,” I said, gasping and panting while feeling my power subtly melting with every drop of blood the wolf was consuming.

“I think it’s working,” I heard Zane say.

“He can’t take too much,” Edgar said just as I was getting ready to rip Bren’s shorts off and beg him to plunge his cock inside me.

“Come on, man, back it off,” Zane ordered the wolf.

I ran my hands through his hair and pulled the wolf tighter into my neck. “God I want you,” I gasped.

“Shit’s about to get out of control,” Nakia said. “Elle, you need to take a rain check on that shit.”
