“It’s okay. Somehow, I know I’m going to get through this, and I have the best guys in the world to help me with that.”
“It’s not just that,” he sighed, his hand firm as it rubbed my leg, “Cole and I—you know, drawing your blood…”
“Yes, your eyes did some crazy stuff.”
“Well, that is the look of a crazed vampire in desperate need of blood,” his lips pulled up on one side. “The scent of your blood is intoxicating. I swear, if we didn’t have such powerful protective instincts for you, you would have had two vampires feeding off of you as soon as that needle broke your skin.”
“So you have the fangs and everything?”
He narrowed his eyes at me, “Does that scare you?”
“No,” I lied.
Logan stood up with me in his arms, and I almost got motion sickness from how swiftly he brought me to my room. “I want to try something.” He laid me on the bed and set next to me. All that was covering me was the towel I had draped around my body from being in the pool before I had to eat and donate more blood.
God only knew what Logan and I were about to do now. Well, I asked for it. I wanted to know. I wanted to examine this new life with blood that brought these vamps to their knees for me, and more than that…I wanted in on this vampire life since it was turning out to be my new and only life right now.
He removed the towel, leaving me lying there half naked in my swimsuit. His fingers slid up the inside of my calf, teased the inside of my thigh, and ran gently over my stomach. Goosebumps were my newest reaction to being touched by him, and they were covering every square inch of my body.
I squirmed in want of his fingers doing other things to me and softly moaned, hoping he would catch on. His eyes were like fire staring into mine, but he didn’t say a word. His lips pressed into the center of my chest instead. I felt my insides building up to the bliss I experienced with Zac earlier, and any human emotion of guilt or shame for doing this with Logan now was gone, thoroughly washed away by my body craving for more from this one.
“Logan,” I groaned.
“Shh, Ellie baby.” His eyes caught mine, his face directly over mine, and body covering me. He was still dressed in only his swim trunks from earlier, and my body loved feeling our flesh molding together.
His lips ran over my now hard nipple, and his teeth took it into his mouth.Just take the fucking swim top off already. These guys loved to tease and please, and this time I was getting annoyed, not turned on.
He moved his lips slowly up to my neck. “Fuck,” he said, tongue sweeping over the area I knew he wanted to drink from. “Hold very still,” he said gruffly.
“Logan,” I whimpered, “Just try. If you’re as protective of me as you think, then you won’t hurt me.”
His face came back to mine. His eyes were wild with desire, and two sharp and delicate looking fangs slid down. He looked dangerous, frightening, and I should have been scared out of my damn mind. But I wasn’t. I examined my vampire. My Logan. I knew he was trying to make this real and scary and most likely slow me down some, but instead, it had the opposite effect. He was my vampire, and he needed my blood to survive—to be strong. So did Braden, Logan, and Cole, and every part of my body told me I needed them even more than they craved my blood.
If I was supposed to be a righteous little saint, working her way to heaven, well, my ass was about to go straight to hell.
Logan’s lips closed, concealing his fangs, but I wasn’t done. I had faith in my vampire, and he was going to be the first to learn he could drink my blood and not hurt me. This would work.
I stared into his bright blue eyes. “You’re sexy as hell, you know that?”
“Looking at therealLogan—the vampire I am—doesn’t scare you?” he asked in a confused tone.
“No.” I ran my hand through his thick hair and tilted my neck up, “Logan, I want you to drink from me,” I said in a serious and determined tone. “I want my emotions turned back on though.”
“I can’t.” He was looking at my neck like a starving man would a piece of meat. “Baby, don’t do this to me.”
“I trust you,” I said.
“Fuck,” his lips pressed into my skin, and I could see him battling himself internally. “You know I won’t be just drinking your blood.”
“I wouldn’t get my feelings hurt if you took it further than Zac did today.” I smiled, “This is my life now, you are my life. My blood is for you and all four of you know it. I’m never going to walk out and see my men drinking another vampire’s blood again.”
“We’re all still working this out, Ellie,” Logan’s eyes were darker, begging me to stop.
“If you don’t try this with me, I’m going to Braden alone.”
“That is never gonna happen,” he smirked.
“I want this, and I want you,” I said. “I trust you, Logan.”
