“You’re coming home with me, Goldie,” I told Morvan.

“So says Teal,” he held up his phone. “Apparently, he has my brother hog tied and his new kitty cat is ready to skin him alive. One of these days, I’m not going to save his balls. There’s only so many times I can convince people that he’s just passionate about the restaurant business and not a bloody loon.”

“Don’t worry. One of my brothers would have to kill Ambry or Robin before I murdered them,” I shrugged. “Though, he blew up part of the Moonglow.”

“We’ll get it fixed. Our friends have fixed worse a lot quicker,” Morvan shrugged.

“I hope you gave those bloody guards the spiral runaround,” I chuckled.

“Guy was practically bleeding out of his scales by the time he caught me. I stopped because I didn’t want them to think I was a lost cause and go after the others. Knew Teal would come through for me. He’s come through more than Torvan ever has.”

“Maybe they should’ve let Guardie eat him.”

“Would’ve saved me a lot of headaches.”

Chapter Eleven

Torvan was tied hands and feet to the bed where Teal and I should’ve been ravishing each other. The giant lizard was still out cold from the tranq but that didn’t mean I wasn’t fighting off the urge to eviscerate him.

“You could’ve let Guardie do it,” Teal said.

“Huh?”

“You’re muttering under your breath while you pace, mate,” he said from the spot he spent the last hour leaning in the doorway at. “You knocked him out. Thought you agreed with me.”

“At the time I did. I wanted to question him or see him locked up. Except you haven’t even called your grandparents yet. You won’t let me call them! I’m going to get fired for real if Medwin finds out the cabin was attacked, and I didn’t let him know.”

“Well, he can fire you from being a guard, but he’ll have to put up with you forever because you’re my mate.”

“See that would be sexy if this sweaty idiot wasn’t tied up in our bed. I want one of us to be that idiot. The one tied up in the bed!” I said and words devolved into a hiss.

I was hard again. And slick. And sick of everything under the sun standing between me and Teal. How was I supposed to know it would take Morvan so long to come pick up his twin? Would Teal even let him take him? What was the plan?

“What’s the plan?” I finally broke down and asked Teal.

I stopped in my tracks and faced him head on for as long as I could stand looking at his stupid, handsome face. I wanted to pounce him and rip his clothes off. I should. The idiot in the bedcould just watch if he woke up and thank us for the honor. Teal was in a rut. He smelled too fucking good. He was too fucking hard for this and all I could think about was how his thick erection felt pressed up all snug against my tongue. This is why omegas didn’t get to be guards.

“This is why they don’t let omegas guard,” I said.

“You didn’t hear a word I said, huh, mate?” Teal took a step toward me.

“No,” I admitted.

“Okay. This is why they invented mate leave, okay?” he said, taking my hands in his.

He was warm to the touch and this up close and personal his scent was all I smelled. He was warm and metallic. He was fucking perfect and he was mine but this lug nut and his brother kept us apart. My eyes stung. Was I actually so fucking horny I was about to break down and fucking cry?

“My grandparents will know about it,” he said, pulling away one hand to wipe my eyes. “When Indigo gets here, they’ll know because the driver will call them. It’ll get fixed. Torvan will get arrested. He’ll probably do some time, okay? I didn’t’ save him from all punishment. Just from Cobalt ripping him asunder.”

“If he does it again, I’m going to rip his balls out through his asshole,” I groaned and laid my forehead against my mate’s shoulder.

“Want me to get you off?” he whispered. “You’re not the only one who knows how to regenerate brain cells.”

“What if Indigo and Morvan get here while we’re doing stuff?” I whispered.

“Then, if they don’t knock, they’ll see stuff. It’ll be their own faults,” he said, squeezing my hand. “We’ll pull the curtains on the bed so Torvan can’t see anything if he wakes up and…”
