“So, of course you love him.”

She shrugs.

I look at her. Mouth agape, eyes wide.

“Don’t look at me like that.”

“Then why the hell are you getting married?”

“I want my inheritance.”

Poor Mason. He has no idea what he’s getting himself into.

“AshLynn, getting married is a big deal! You can’t treat it so lightly.”

“I can treat it however I want to.”

She’s got me there. This is a freaking disaster.

“You need to fix this. It’s not fair to Mason. You go to him and you apologize right now,” I demand.

“Why do you care?” she asks.

“It’s not that I care so much as it is common courtesy, AshLynn. You can’t just manipulate people like this.”

She reminds me of—

“Daddy does,” she says.

Exactly.

“Just do it.” I push her toward the patio door.

“Stay out of it, Willow! And quit talking to my fiancé. Stay out of my relationship and stay out of my life!”

“AshLynn saysshe doesn’t love him,” I tell Zach via video chat.

“Then why is she marrying him?”

“That’s what I asked!”

“And what did she say?”

“Nothing much, that it didn’t matter.”

“Clearly a match made in heaven.”

“Right?”

“So, let’s break them up and then we can share him.”

“No. I’m not going to do that to my sister.”

“You’re so nice.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”
