Chapter 10

Sadie and I made it through the last two days argument free. In fact, it was fucking fantastic. Just lounging around the house, watching movies, talking, kissing. I jerked off an insane number of times and still have a serious case of blue balls, but at the same time it’s been interesting getting to know and hanging out with a woman and not immediately fucking her. It’s not something I want to make a habit of, but now that it’s about to be over, I can just reiterate that it’s been . . . interesting.

I got called in to the station first thing this morning for an all-hands meeting. I have to go back to work tomorrow and will be two days on, three days off for the next couple weeks. Then I got roped into helping clean the rig, which gave me a lot of time to think about the number of ways I plan to fuck Sadie tonight.

By the time I get home I’m tired, cranky, and horny. I find her humming softly in the kitchen, stirring something on the stove that smells amazing. I walk up behind her and put my arms around her waist and nuzzle her neck.

“You better not let the owner of the house catch you here,” she says. “He gets real upset when I have other men over.”

“Damn fucking right he does,” I say spinning her around to face me. She sets the spoon down on the counter then reaches her arms up and twines them around my neck.

“Hi,” she says as she moves in for a kiss. A kiss that goes from hello to hot in a matter of seconds.

“Hi,” I say as we pull apart. “Feel free to greet me like that every night.”

“I’ll remember that,” she says.

“What smells so good?”

“That is my homemade barbeque sauce. I’m makin’ a big batch for you. I’ve already got brisket marinating in it for you to grill along with corn on the cob and potato salad.”

“Wow, what did I do to deserve this?”

“I’ll tell you what you didn’t do.” She pulls her hair to the side to give me better access to her neck. “Can you get that spot behind my ear again? ‘Cause your performance earlier was pretty piss poor.”

I lean in. “Piss poor, huh?” I breathe into her ear then bite the lobe lightly. Kissing my way from the back of her ear down her neck and back up again. She shivers in response.

“Okay, okay, before you get me all sidetracked, I gotta question for you.”

“I’ll try to have an answer.”

“Okay, first I just want to say I was not snooping in your house.”

“Um, all right.”

“I did your laundry after I prepped dinner and was just putting it away. Trying to be a nice houseguest and all that.”

“Gorgeous, you don’t have to do my laundry. I told you I would take care of it. You are supposed to be resting.”

“I know, I know. I got bored. I’m not overdoing it. Don’t interrupt me.”

I gesture for her to continue.

“I was hanging up some of your shirts in your closet . . .”

She pauses, as though what she is about to say is something bad. I rack my brain trying to

think of what she may have found that has her acting so odd. But come up empty. I keep little else in my closet outside of clothes and shoes. Halloween costume, maybe?

She goes behind the couch and grabs a box I hadn’t seen sitting there earlier.

“I found this,” she says bringing out an open-topped, medium-sized box and setting it down in front of me.

“Okay,” I say, waiting to see what she says next.

“Well, the way things have been going and how you’ve been acting, I have gotten the distinct impression you are single. Without a woman in your life.”
