“Well, damn! If you’d let me know there was a party, I’d have ordered takeout,” I said with minor sarcasm.

Scythe, the President of Devil’s Scythe, sent me a look. “Sweet cheeks, there’s no need for attitude.”

I just about held back my blush. Sweet cheeks was a personal nickname for me. And for good reason.

“When you all turn up without warning and in a group, I’d say there’s cause to be defensive. I’ll ask again, why are you here en masse?”

“We’re here to welcome and to assure you that from our side, nothing has changed. The Unwanted Bastards remain a valuable ally,” Onyx replied. The Riders of Vengeance President was as impassive as always. You could never tell if Onyx was happy, sad, or going to slit your throat.

“Yup, it’s not every day we greet a new president,” Lance from Fallen Warriors said.

“We’re here to welcome and recognise your position,” Chance, the final president, added. Chance ran Hellfire MC.

“What?” Party exclaimed.

“Yeah, we also brought you a problem back. Seems you kicked two prospects for lack of respect?” Scythe said, and his voice changed. Ha, I recognised that tone very well.

“I did indeed. Why the fuck are you on Unwanted Bastards’ land?” I demanded, turning to Party and Gamer.

“Because no woman should run an MC. You need putting in your place, and we’re here to do that,” Party sneered.

“Somehow, I doubt that very much. See, they may be allies, but not one of them has a horse in the race when it comes to running Unwanted Bastards. All you’ve done is make yourselves look like weak assed bitches. If you thought you’d get into one of their clubs… think again,” I replied.

“That’s where you’re wrong,” Party stated.

“Is she? Strangely, I don’t think so,” Scythe said, moving away from the semi-circle and pulling out a chair and sitting.

“What are you doing?” Party shrieked.

I winced at the high volume. “Tone it down, sheesh,” I muttered.

“What did you think would happen here?” Onyx demanded as he moved to my side and also sat.

“Did you think we’d drag Nanci from the clubhouse, and tear her cut from her? Maybe give Nanci a beating and install Inglorious as president?” Tiger asked as he and Lance also shifted to take my back.

“Yeah,” Party snapped with confusion on his face. “No woman should run this club or steal the president’s position. She’s nothing more than a cunt. Bitch should be in the kitchen or on her knees.”

“Wow, sexual equality rules here,” I said and laughed at Party’s expression.

“What made you believe we have any right to interfere with the running of the Unwanted Bastards?” Drake demanded as the rest of them moved. Gamer and Party no longer looked confident.

“Because you’re allies. You can’t allow the bitch to do this!” Gamer exclaimed.

“But this isn’t our MC. We have no say in how it runs. But let me inform you of something, Nanci has done nothing wrong by the Unwanted Bastards’ charter. The charter allows Nanci to do exactly as she did,” Drake said.

“That can’t be right!” Party snarled.

I could see he realised he was losing.

“Let me guess. Like an asshole, you ran around to the allies, telling tales and probably lies and getting them riled to oust me. Did you hope they’d install you for bringing this to their attention? Wow! Prospect to president, that was a hell of a lofty idea,” I taunted.

“If you’re not going to do anything with this bitch, why did you bring us?” Gamer demanded.

“Because, asshole, you’re running around trying to get a legit president kicked from her MC. Nanci needed to know this, and now she does. Your punishment is up to her,” Scythe hissed and allowed his anger to show briefly.

Gamer and Party both flinched.

“They can go. They’re nothing to me. Party’s already had a beat-down, and that’s probably why he’s so angry. But, honestly, they’re not worth the effort of breaking a sweat,” I said.
