Chapter One
Enzo
Danger is in the eye of the beholder—I see danger everywhere.
Scanning the crowd, I watch for sudden movements, for anyone or anything suspicious. It is loud, raucous, with too many bodies fit into too small of a space. Keeping my head on a swivel, I never stop looking for any sign of danger or threat.
“Calm down, Enzo,” Tomas tells me with a chuckle, giving me a shove. “We know every single person here. We can turn it off for a bit.”
“This is a celebration, Enzo,” Mateo reminds me, shaking his head at me. “There is no threat out there to thwart. Have a drink. We will take care of that itch you want to scratch tonight.”
Smirking at him, I sip at my bourbon and nod. They’re both right. Tonight, we ought to celebrate. We know all the people here to celebrate our friend, and former partner in Pack Protective Agencies, marriage. Nico and Nova deserve to celebrate their future together. Glancing out at the dance floor, I smile because Nico has eyes only for his new bride as they twirl across the dance floor.
“Yes, a celebration. For the wedding,” I pause as I look at my two best friends. “As well as tonight. I definitely need to...scratch some itches.”
Beside me, Tomas grins widely, his big body moving closer to Mateo’s. Indeed, tonight we will scratch an itch we’ve been struggling with. All of us have been on assignment for the past few months. Our line of work separates us often, though we do work together as a team as well.
We’re more than a team of former marine and navy grunts. All of us have elite skills. After we retired, we partneredwith Nico and a few other military friends with Pack Protective. We work with celebrities, politicians, even royalty. Our skills mean any threat is handled with finesse and often before it even gets close to clients.
“We all do, Enzo,” Tomas responds as his amber eyes darken in the sun. Mateo gazes down at him, the air heating with their need.
We’ve been apart too long, the three of us. I was off in Dubai with a princess, Tomas was in Rome with a very influential new president, and Mateo was in Tivoli. They never stray too far from one another. It’s been weeks since I have seen them together, though we never go a day without some sort of contact with one another.
Meeting them during my first mission fifteen years ago changed my life. They had gone through boot camp together and were thick as thieves. I was a little lost, a little unsure of my place in the world. I had joined the marines to get out of a bad situation. I could not have known I would find them, men just as lost as I was, and build the relationship we have now.
“Soon, love,” I whisper gently to Tomas as he swallows hard, his eyes simmering with heat. “We will find someone to play with tonight. Our room is waiting for us at the club. We’ll spend the entire weekend there if we need it,” I move closer to the two men, my hand dropping to cup Tomas’ hard length in his slacks. He groans and pushes his hips forward, letting me stroke him. Mateo moves too, his face pressing to Tomas’ neck, a string of filthy words in a mix of Italian and English spilling past his beautiful mouth.
“Yes,” Mateo hisses, biting gently at the pulse point on Tomas’ neck, making his cock jerk in my hands. “We will find a pretty little thing to play with. A very good little girl who will let us toy with her all we need.”
Tomas turns his head, biting playfully at Mateo’s mouth. My own cock jerks in my slacks as I watch their need spark in the air between us. I growl and stroke Tomas through his slacks roughly. Mateo’s hand joins mine as he glances back at me, an evil smirk on his handsome face.
Before I met them, I never considered my sexual preference much. I knew I loved the curves and softness of a woman. I also knew the captain of my football team in high school made me hot. With Mateo and Tomas, there was never a question about sexual preference—we want each other all the time, but Mateo and I still crave a woman too. Tomas is less enthusiastic about bringing a woman into our bed and our relationship, but he would never deny either of us.
Two years ago, we found the perfect spot for us to indulge. A club in our home base of Seattle, where we can play how we want. We have our pick of women at the club, and nothing is off limits. We can play with her together, watch each other play, or join someone else.
Club Sin is where we found our freedom to indulge in our needs.
“Enzo,” Mateo grunts, his hand reaching back to cup me roughly. “We need to find her. Playing at the club is fine. It is not enough. Not for me. We’re so close to having everything we want. It is time to find her.”
Mateo turns his head, his gaze meeting mine as he pleads this. He is not wrong. We’ve talked about finding the last part of us for a long time. A woman who would be more than a toy to play with. One we would share our lives with, even start a family with. We all want that, even Tomas, but we have yet to find the right woman for us.
We’ve played with plenty of beautiful women at Club Sin. But the playing ends there. They never go home with us, they never share their lives with us. Hell, we barely know the names of the women we play with. We often forget them not long afterthey leave our room at the club. It is time we find the woman who will make our lives complete.
It will be a while before we stop going on assignments. Working details with our clients is what we’re good at, what we love doing. All those years and all that training in the military created a hunger for danger in all of us. Well, hell, I went in with that hunger. I had a nothing life before I joined. I would break the law, take risks with my own life, just to feel something.
Now I am cautious. I have to think of Mateo and Tomas. Soon, I will have a woman to think about. Children. Our details will continue as long as we know they won’t risk us coming home to one another. If our day jobs ever became a threat to our life, to what we’ve built together, we would stop.
All of us are in our mid-thirties so it’s time to think about what comes next. Time to think about where we will settle down, how we become fathers, and who will be the woman make us whole.
“Yes, it is time. We will begin looking tonight. Until then,” my voice drops as we huddle close together. “Do we need to scratch an itch?”
Tomas smirks before it falls away. Mateo shakes his head, his hands no longer stroking either of us. I bite back a groan. I am the oldest, the leader of most things—except our lovemaking. Mateo takes the lead, becoming a demanding, dominating lover who directs how, when, and where we play.
“Not yet. Not until the club. We waited over a month. We can wait a little longer.”
Tomas lets out a sexy little whine and I throw my head back to laugh. He is the neediest of the three of us. Could be because he does not play the way we do. At the club he often just watches us play with women. Mateo loves putting on a good show for him. If he is needier than usual or decides whoeverwe’re playing with works for him, he will join of course.
“I do not want to wait. I need it, Mateo,” Tomas purrs with a pout.
