Kane spins back around and pins Luca with his death stare. "Then you'll what, pretty boy? Huh, what are you really going to do?"
Luca's chest puffs out, his fists curling as he prepares to fight.
"Luc, no," I cry, racing toward him before he manages to take a swing at Kane. "You're better than him," I whisper, my hands wrapping around his bicep in the hope my touch cools him off a little.
Kane's eyes drop to where I'm touching Luca, his lips purse in frustration.
"You're welcome to her," he spits, tilting his chin in my direction. "Be warned, I've already ruined the whore."
The roar that rips from Luca's mouth is like nothing I've ever heard before.
Racing around him, I press my hands to his chest.
"Leave it, Luc. Please."
His chest heaves, his nostrils flare as he stares at Kane.
"You deserve better than that, Let," he seethes.
"He's baiting you and you're playing right into his hands."
Looking over my shoulder, I find Leon who's barely restraining himself and finally Kane with a smug as fuck smirk on his face.
"You won't listen to me, then fuck off and leave me alone. You're right, Kane. We are done."
Reaching for Luca's hand, I slip my fingers through his before grabbing Leon's when I reach him.
"Think what you want of me, it makes little difference to my life what your opinion is. Especially when we all know the only cunt here is you."
Before he has a chance to respond, the three of us move past him and out of the door.
"Holy fucking shit, did you just see his face," Leon booms as we get outside of the building. "I never thought I'd see the day but you, Ms. Hunter, just fucking gutted him."
"Kane doesn't care what I say. His heart and soul are black." But even as I say the words, I know they're not true because I saw the look on Kane's face just as much as Leon did and it takes every ounce of strength I have not to go back for him.

Ella: Where you at, girl?
I stare down at my cell as I sit with Luca and Leon in the same coffee shop they brought me to on my first day at MKU.
Tapping out a quick reply to get her to meet us, I sink down in my chair a little with my coffee.
Luca and Leon have relaxed slightly but I know that until I tell them the whole truth about what's happened with Kane that they're going to keep glancing at me with irritated and angry eyes.
I'm just hoping that Ella joining us will break the tension.
It's only five minutes later when the bouncy blonde appears at our table and pulls out the chair between Leon and me.
She looks at both of them, her cheeks heating before turning her eyes on me.
"How do you do it?" she whispers and all I can do is burst out laughing. "I'm serious. You're sitting here like it's just a normal day."
"It is," I say with a smirk.
"Hey, how's it going?" she says to the guys after ripping her eyes from me.
They both look at her with amused expressions on their faces.
