"No point hiding, Let. We heard it all," Violet adds.

"Fucking hell," I mutter, dropping my head into my hands. No wonder he wanted to go back to his place. "Hang on a second."

I hop out of bed, my body screaming at me for moving so fast as I tug on a pair of shorts and a shirt, and tidy up the empty condom packets littering the floor and the nightstand before opening the door for the nosey bitches.

"Holy fuck," Ella gasps the second she steps into my room and gets a look at me.

I probably should have looked in the mirror first.

"Okay, where can I get me one of those men? Does he have any hot friends because damn girl," Violet says, an impressed smile on her face as she looks me up and down.

"He has friends but I wouldn't want to introduce them to any of mine," I mutter, walking toward the bathroom to check out the damage that they seem so impressed by.

"Fucking hell," I whisper to myself. Although, I don't know why I'm so surprised, not only can I feel everything he inflicted on me last night, but it's also not my first roll around the sack with Kane. I knew exactly how it was going to go when I demanded he fuck me. I knew exactly what I was doing and what I was asking for.

A smile curls at my lips because despite the fact I look like I've been mauled by a bear once again, I can't regret a second of it.

The instant he touches me, he brings out something within me that I didn't know existed until him.

I thought it was the hate, the fact he loathed me as much as I did him.

But last night wasn't about that.

Okay, so in his car, it might have been. He was mad. So fucking mad that I'd ignored his demands and gone to the Creek to see my dad regardless. But when we got back here, the way he kissed me, the way he touched me, although brutal, it was different. Everything about him was different.

And as good as that might be, it's also terrifying.

Grabbing a hair tie from the side, I twist my matted mane up into a messy bun then brush my teeth and clean my face.

I still look like I've been attacked but at least I don't have smeared makeup all over my face.

"So," Ella says, holding out a coffee cup that I didn't notice she was carrying when she walked in. I eagerly take it from her as I wait for what's about to come out of her mouth.

"We're assuming your night was as hot as it sounded."

I can't help but snort a laugh as my face burns bright red.

"Um… it was something."

"I bet Luca thought all his Christmases came at once. What about—"

"It wasn't Luca," I blurt, cutting her off.

"B-but I let him in. He came to talk things out with you and—"

"He was here when I came back, but he left." They both stare at me, waiting for more information.

With a sigh, I drop into my chair and tell him the basic events of the night before ending up back here to pack a bag and finding Luca waiting for me.

"He apologized, tried explaining to me why he kicked off the way he did but then Kane marched into the room, clearly too impatient to wait for me and—"

"Who threw the first punch?" Violet asks.

"No one, actually. It was… almost calm."

"You broke his heart, didn't you?"

I suck in a breath, trying to figure out a way to explain things about Luca.
