"Hey, I'm in here," a familiar soft voice says from the living room.
Turning back on myself, I walk in to find her sitting with the guys at the dining table with coffees.
"Hey, I thought you were going to wait in my room," I say, my eyes trained on Devin who looks less than impressed by my guest.
"I know, but Ellis knocked. Made me coffee."
I smile at Ellis for accepting her after what went down and he nods back at me.
"Well, I bought bagels, so if anyone wants to make me a coffee."
"I'll go, you sit," Letty says, hopping up and going to race around me.
Throwing my arm out, I pull her into my body.
"Hey," she says, smiling up at me.
"Missed you," I whisper, although it's not quiet enough because Devin makes a puking sound and I flip him off behind her back.
Dropping my lips to hers, I make a show of showing her just how much I missed her, mostly to irritate Devin but also because she looks hot as fuck and she's all mine.
I smack her ass as she heads for the kitchen before dropping into the seat she vacated with a satisfied smirk on my face.
"Oh fuck off," Devin mutters.
"Jealous, Dev?" I ask, stretching my legs out. "Been a while, hasn't it?"
"You're a fucking asshole, Legend. She know what you do for a fucking living yet?"
"What I did?" I correct, although seeing as I've got a 'date' with Alana tonight, I guess it's a lie.
"Oh yeah. Is Vic aware of that because rumor has it that—"
He stops talking when footsteps head back our way.
We both watch Letty as she walks toward us with a mug in her hand before passing it to me.
"Be careful with this one, Letty. He bites."
"Oh." She chuckles. "I'm more than aware. Thanks."
She holds Devin's hard stare for a beat before turning to me and taking a seat on my lap when I gesture for her to do so.

Forty-five minutes later and we're sitting in my car looking at the Anderson building where Letty's psych class is waiting for Ella to appear.
"Are we doing anything tonight?" Letty asks and my stomach drops into my feet.
"I can't tonight, Princess. I've got shit to do with the guys." The lie tastes bitter on my tongue but I can hardly tell her the truth. And I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get out of what's going to be expected of me. I don't even want to see Alana, let alone have to touch her.
She looks at me with disappointment in her eyes.
"You've got a job?"
"Nothing official. I don't work for him anymore."
"You are though, aren't you?"
