“And you came back.” I drop my lips to hers to cut off any argument she might have.

Yes, I wanted to be angry back then. I wanted to hate her for leaving like she did. But I never did either of those things because I was always too busy loving her.

“What happened to the trifle?” I ask when I pull back.

“I dropped it. Why, are you hungry?”

“Yeah, for you.”

Leaving her on the bed, I go to collect the container that Kathy filled before returning to find her exactly where I left her.

“I’m not sure I like the look in your eyes right now, Aaron Townsend.”

“Oh, you’re going to like it,” I warn as I pop the top and scoop a giant blob of cream onto my finger before running it down the valley between her breasts. “You’re going to like it very much.”
