Bella laughs. "You have aproblem."
"Carbs are good for you." Piper takes a sip of her coffee. "And sugar… gives youenergy."
"Until you crash,"Bellasays.
"That's why God made coffee,"Pipersays.

The sun bouncesoff the bridal shop's white and ivory display. Damn, those are some seriousdresses.
Huge, fancy, princessdresses.
The kind of thing Violet would wear (well, if she wanted to wear white). Andpulloff.
I step out of the car and slide my purse aroundmyarm.
Piper nearly bounces to the street. "Oh my God, isn't that one beautiful?" She points to the gown in the shop's window, a puffy ball gown with miles oftulle.
"It's huge,"Isay.
"Is it?" Bella arches a brow. "I've alwaysassumed,but…"
"Don't start." Piper scrunches her nose. "Thedressis huge. Other things… I don't wanttoknow."
Bellalaughs.

Piper is relaxed in most ways, but she's incredibly uptight when Mal or Ethan's sex livescomeup.
The bouncy blonde clears her throat as she leads us into thestore.
Damn. The place is swimming with white and ivory fabric, in every designimaginable.

"Do you know what you want?"Piperasks.
"Something simple and beachy." And more cute than sexy. More fun than formal. Moremethan anything in thedisplay.
Oh yeah, and it has to soothe thehey, you uninvited your momvoice inmyhead.
"I did it all with Violet. I know the drill. You get clothespins and mark the dresses you'd like to try, then the saleswoman will pull them for you." Piper lets out a soft squeal. "Then we get to trythemon."
"We?" Bella archesabrow.
"Yes, I'll help. Some of them are complicated. It's a team effort." Piper takes a step backwards. "I'llgetthem."
"Thanks." I take a long sip of my much too sweet tea. It's not betterlukewarm.
