"We've been thinking a lot about the role of Elizabeth. And we can't see anyonebutyou."
My chest gets light. My stomach too. They can't see anyonebutme.
"We want you. I wish I could offer you more money, but our budget is tight. And our timeline is fast. We just lost our August dates. We're going to need to start in twoweeks."
"Two weeks?" That's a week after I finish school. That doesn't leave any timeatall.
"It's a thirty-day shoot. I won't lie. We'll be working six days a week. Seven if we're not keeping pace. And the days will be long. Exhausting. We'll be in Toronto, so it won't be too hot. But it will be difficult. And you'll have to be there twenty-four seven. You're going to be in everyscene."

He'll leave for Europe halfway through theshoot.

I take a deep breath and exhaleslowly.
I want this part. But if I really do want us to make this official, I have to remember I'm halfateam.

"Good. I'm willing to move heaven and earth to get you in this film, Piper. If you have doubts, let me know. I'll makeitwork."

"I have finals." But it's not like I'm going to say no. Nixie's debut feature was a Sundance darling. And the script for this is amazeballs. It's sure to hit even harder at the festival. Which means it will launch my career. "But okay. ByFriday."
