Ugh, I'm getting all fluttery again.

Nope. Uh-uh. Not what we're doing here.

Ariel: We'll still meet this week. But only for sex.

 Chase: I'm making you come.

 Ariel: Okay.

 Chase: And calling you princess.

 Ariel: Only during sex.

My heart thuds against my chest. My stomach flutters. My sex pangs.

 This makes sense.

Everything else is a confusing mess.

But sex with Chase makes perfect sense.

Ariel: Is that okay with you?

Chase: It's what you want, isn't it?

 Ariel: Yes.

My phone is quiet for a moment. I stare back waiting for an objection. A plea for more, a confession he's falling in love with me, a total rejection of the idea of drawing stronger lines.

 I don't get one.

 Chase: My place still work?

Ariel: I'm low on time tomorrow.

 Chase: Oh?

Ariel: Maybe you can meet me at school.

Chase: I thought you didn't have an office.

 Ariel: I'll figure it out.

Chase: Tell me the time and place and I'm there.

 Chapter Thirty-Four

 Ariel

After my first class, I find an empty office. Text Chase the suite number. Request he meet me on his lunch break.

 Then I dive into work.

 It's impossible to concentrate.

My heart keeps screaming for his smile.

 My head keeps screamingrun away.
