Fuck, the way he says that is so hot.
"If you're not gonna give me time to warm you up—"
"I don't have a vibrator." I try to make my voice confident. Sorta get there. Mostly. "But I—"
"Let's go shopping."
"Tomorrow."
He nods. "Tomorrow." He sits next to me. Pulls my knees over his lap. "Right now, you need to come on my hand."
"I—"
"You…?"
"Okay." My lips curl into a smile.
"Okay? Princess, I need better than okay."
"Yes."
"Yes?"
"Hell yes."
He smilesgood.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Ariel
"You don't have sugar?" I check the cabinet again. There's protein powder and a million vitamins and fifty different spices, but there isn't any sugar.
"Why would I?" He looks at me like the question is ridiculous.
"Because it's sugar?" How can anyone not have sugar? It's an ingredient in most recipes.
His expression stays dumbfounded. "I don't eat it."
"Why?"
His brow furrows. He stares back at me, not at all understanding the inquiry. "Don't consume addictive things."
"What about coffee?"
"Except for coffee."
"You put sugar in your coffee," I say.
"A little simple syrup, yeah."
"So…" I motion to the simple syrup free pantry.
"Drink it black too."
"You don't have honey."
"Or maple syrup, or agave, or coconut sugar." His lips curl into a smile. "They're all sugar."
